I mentioned Peppers earlier in the year, and now that it is out that he does not want to come back he is exactly what they need opposite of Cole.

And he plays a position that they will spend money on.

Fastballs!

Was thinking the same thing, they'll put the money out for DE and it is a position of need. Parker and Abiamiri are nice in a rotation but not an every down starter, Clemons is more of a LB/DE hybrid, Howard was nice this season but he plays better on the inside as a 3rd down pass rushing type. Who knows what to think of Bryan Smith. I don't think the Skins or Cowboys have the cap space and last I saw the Eagles will be $17 million under next season. Jordan Gross is also a ufa so he'll most likely get the franchise tag.

I honestly don't give a shtein what we have at DE other than Cole.  This is the same team that spent big coin to bring in Samuel when they already had one, aruably two probowlers at his position.  If they can bump Lito for Samuel... then they damn sure can (and if the opportunity presents itself, the better) bump Juqua farging Parker for Peppers.

SD, I agree with you on the Cowboys having enough space because I've heard/read from a couple of places that Dallas' big concern this offseason will be to get Ware caked off and that's a factor in if they'll release T.O. or not.

If he actually does hit the market (which I still have my doubts about) I think the Eagles would definitely be interested.

The local paper says that Peppers biggest problem is the scheme.  Not sure he'd like playing in Johnson's defense with all the zone blitzes.

Would you guys rather have Peppers or Suggs?

the better question is what would you rather have--a 6'7 true edge rusher who gets tons of sacks, would compliment Cole and increase his sack count, and probably produce on a more consistent basis due to the 4-3 set or

Suggs whos is 6'3, plays majority 3-4, moves inside or out and is multi-faceted, help more on the cover blitz schemes and can still avg you 8 sacks

close call but I take Peppers

Take some of the defensive guys while you're at it.

Anyone else having a hard time giving a shtein about the AFC game? I want the Steelers to lose, but whatever. Go Cards.

There is not a chance in hell I am watching another snap of NFL football this season, except by accident.
