I don't see the Eagles getting Peppers because the Panthers won't want to let him go for nothing (although they would get an end of 3rd comp pick). Probably they tag and trade. The Eagles will pay top dollar for an elite FA or trade good draft material but they won't do both, which is what it will likely take.

If they have to choose between tagging Gross or Peppers, maybe in that case Peppers comes free, but i doubt that happens.

Anyone else having a hard time giving a shtein about the AFC game?

My tradition continues. If the Eagles are not in the Superbowl....needless to say I haven't watched one full superbowl...before or since Philly vs. N.E. I'm not watching. farg superbowl parties...filled with a bunch of idiots who don't give a farg about the team. farg them.
I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

Anyone else having a hard time giving a shtein about the AFC game? I want the Steelers to lose, but whatever. Go Cards.

I didn't watch one snap of the AFCCG game and didn't even know who won until I got up this morning.

watched every play of it...which is unusal for me..and it shows how bad my fandom is for the eagles right now and how stale they are with reid still at the helm...i literally got more upset at the sixers loss today than the eagles loss yesterday

Replacement for Upshaw narrowed down to:

Troy Vincent
Trace Armstrong (former DE for Bears, Dolphins, Raiders)
Jim Covert (former Bears OT)
Ben Utt (former Colts G)
DeMaurice Smith (defense attorney for white collar criminals)

I don't know who this guy is, but since the NFLPA spends the greater part of its efforts trying to defend criminal players, wring even more money out of owners for the star players (but not the bit players) and exclude former players from reaping any kind of rewards for the league they helped to build, this guy looks like a winner.

Also, he's the the "De" prefix thing going for him.

cant stand this time of year. There is nothing worse than not only having your team not playing for anything, but going on your sites and seeing constant news about coaching changes on just about every team

lets get to the draft and free agency already

Comcast Asks New FCC Head To Revisit NFL Net Dispute - 1/23 - Area cable TV giant Comcast has asked acting Federal Communications Commission chairman Michael Copps to return its program carriage dispute with the NFL Network to an administrative law judge. Comcast sent a letter to Copps on the matter Thursday, his first day in office, adding that it was acting on behalf of three other cable operators facing similar program carriage complaints that were seized from the ALJ last month by a subordinate to then-FCC chairman Kevin Martin.

What, did they want to make sure he wouldn't even be considered for a job this year?

I hate the 2 weeks off  between an nfccg loss and the SB. It is like a viewing that just won't end and you just wish the funeral was over with already when the SB officially buries the season . You had a good year, rehab in peace mofos.
