yeah, but abreu strikes out alot too, and those type of guys hate strikeouts, of course, Boston was top 5 in that category this year, so maybe Epstein doesn't care as much, i know Billy Beane doesn't like them.

Yeah...sort of. He's not as bad as some other GMs. With the whole Manny Ramirez mess and his ridiculous salary demands, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he uses us to drive up his price.

abreu strikes out because he runs so many deep counts and at the same time is a power hitter. you have to trade the homers, rbis, walks, pictches seen and pitches per at bat for some k's. its just gonna happen when you get 2-2, 3-2 all the time.
