Firing a coach who transformed a piece of shtein team into a Super Bowl contender for the last half-decade isn't that smart, especially considering that the Eagles will still have a winning record no matter what happens today.

You hope. There's no gaurantees in the NFL, buddy.

I mean we'll be 4-3 after today, not have a winning record for the whole season.

Ah. Well that's a different animal.

he's taken a super bowl team & turned it into a leaguewide joke with this no running crap.

Yeah, a laughingstock of the whole league that's a pitiful 4-3... some people don't remember the years when four wins would be good for the whole season.

i didn't say laughingstock of the whole league....i said leaguewide joke...which his 9-1 pass/run ratio is.

It's not about winning records. It's about being ready to win a Superbowl. Right now we aren't playoff caliber let alone Superbowl caliber.

Good coaches don't let their teams trail 14-0 week after week in the first quarters of games.

I don't care what Andy's done in the past. RIGHT NOW sunday October 31st 2005, he is not a good coach. In fact he is worse than Mike Tice this year.

Okay maybe we should hire Mike Tice.

WEST is GOD

I think Andy this year has been worse than Tice. Is he a better coach? He's a billion times better, but this year Andy has been the worst coach in football.

Tice has been terrible, but the Vikings suck. We have talent and suck. There's a difference.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

This thread is an embarrassment.

TO is GOD, you're a complete idiot.

The reason he doesn't deserve a "free pass" is because he's singlehandedly chosen in mid-season to change the offense to this untested, unproven, and never before utilized type of pass only offense.  IN MID SEASON no less, when the NFC East is showing signs of returning to the glory days when all teams are competitive.  If the Eagles had clinched the division with five games left in the season, maybe then he can experiment, or maybe in the pre-season, but all of a sudden to change his offense to this experimental pass only offense?   That's absurd, and because he's won in the past should not give him a free pass, not in this case.  In most cases, a bad season is allowed for a coach who's considered one of the elite, but because of his singular decision to change his philosophy in the middle of the season is inexcusable.  It's not like he's doing what he's always been doing and things just aren't clicking.  He's not even trying to do what got him those five seasons in a row, he's completely abandoned that style, and adopted this outrageous pass only offense.   OUTRAGEOUS!!

His strategy has always been to get an early lead passing the ball then run it late to use up the clock. The only reason you're complaining this season is because our Offense is out of sync and our  D is not as good as it has been in years passed. If the Offense resembled anything close to what it once was, the negative emphasis would most likely be on our D.

The thing that baffles me is, okay, Andy still refuses to run the ball - fine. But what about the play of our O-line? Why does it take the entire clock to get the play in? There's no surprise with the snap count, because every play is taken down to 1 second. The receivers and backs are missing assignments left and right. They're not on the same page.

Which all goes back to coaching, unfortunately. It's one thing if the stuff just isn't working, but they're still in preseason mode right now which is baffling. Half the time it doesn't even look like they're trying.

why dont we just let eskin do everything. hes the only person alive that could host a radio show, be the gm of the phillies and also be director of player personal and head coach of the eagles.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

He looks like a pretty good player too, based on what I've seen in the Burger King commercials.
