Even if we don't turn it around this season, I'm willing to give Reid a pass. He's earned it. 1 bad season out of the last 5 is still a great ratio. You're just frustrated right now -- which is understandable.

abreu strikes out because he runs so many deep counts and at the same time is a power hitter. you have to trade the homers, rbis, walks, pictches seen and pitches per at bat for some k's. its just gonna happen when you get 2-2, 3-2 all the time.

he doesn't hit enough home runs to justify 100+ strikeouts.

Hi, long time lurker and first time poster.  If the Eagles continue the road they're on right now, and don't, at a minimum, go to the NFC championship game, then Reid should be fired from his position as head coach.

Welcome hydrocodone.  I disagree.  Reid gets the rest of this year to run his plan.  No serious discussion of his being fired can be had until at least the middle of next season, no matter how bad the rest of this year gets.

He shouldn't be fired, but as I said last week, I'd rather he not coach, esp. on game day.  His offense adjustments are questionable, his play calling is ridiculous, his time management makes me want to kill people, and I really don't want to lose Childress.  Bump Reid to GM only, and give Childress the reins.

Reid's coaching this year has been baffling, to say the least.  I think the worst decision he's made, looking back, was not having Donovan get the surgery right away.  Obviously, he overestimated some personnel decisions on both sides of the ball also.  HOWEV-AH... this is an anomaly compared to his tenure with this team, so firing him any earlier than mid-season next year would be premature... and that's an understatement.
