I thought Trotter shot McDougle.

Trotter would have missed and had to chase McDougle down for another ten yards.

Even if we don't turn it around this season, I'm willing to give Reid a pass. He's earned it. 1 bad season out of the last 5 is still a great ratio. You're just frustrated right now -- which is understandable.

i agree but hes got to be willing to listen to his coaches!!

What does Childress actually do anymore? Ive seen Marty Mornhinweg about 10 times more this year.

I'm still wondering what either one of them does, actually. I've been baffled by Childress for years now.

I know one thing he's damn sure not doing is getting the plays to McNabb in less than 32 seconds.

We need to hire a Chinese food delivery guy to get the plays in.

yeah that has been a real issue.  Must be 10 times this season McNabb has called a time out because the play wasnt in yet.

That's a pretty conservative estimate, considering it happens once or twice a half.

I've been complaining about clock management to anyone who will listen.  It deserves it's own thread, but I won't start one until I've got something more interesting to say about it than "it sucks."

But smoking baby Jesus, it's farging horrible!  They have no idea what they are doing out there.  Don't know the  play that was originally called.  Don't know the audibles.  I saw more broken plays yesterday than you do at the qualifying round for the Special Olympics Football tournament.

Hi, long time lurker and first time poster.  If the Eagles continue the road they're on right now, and don't, at a minimum, go to the NFC championship game, then Reid should be fired from his position as head coach.  Forget about what he has done hitherto, but look at what he is doing now?  What in the world is up with this "pass only" offense?   Let me see if I've got this straight:  You've got an injured QB, a WR that is essentially a big baby but a big talent, and a pro-bowl caliber RB, and you inexplicably choose to run an offense that not only chooses to rely on the passing game, but does so EXCLUSIVELY.   It's one thing to have a good passing game, allowed by a strong running game, but to think you can win in this league by doing NOTHING but passing the ball all day long is ludicrous, embarrasing, and un-professional.

What will happen, if Reid chooses to continue with this little experiment, is exactly what's happening right now in Denver.  It will change from a pass only offense by choice, to a pass only offense by necessity.  There's a BIG difference.  There they are, four TD's behind, and now they have no choice but to pass on every play.  If they had slowed things down a little, and tried to establish a running game, things may have been different and the Eagles could have had a chance to develop a rythym in a place like Denver.

I don't see how a person like Reid, who up to now has been considered one of the premier coaches in the league, has chosen from  week 6 forward to implement this outrageous experiment of his, but he's got a lot to answer to if he doesn't reverse course immediately.  The Eagles were weak enough at WR to expect to enjoy a pass heavy offense, much leass a pass only offense.  Why is he doing what he's doing?  It would be different if the Eagles were forced to abandon the game plan early in every game, and resort to a pass only offense, but the Eagles have come out of the gates with this unbelievable pass only offense.  What is Reid doing?  Is he somehow trying to make a name for himself?  Does he somehow think that his team could be the only team in the history of the NFL to even try and win games without even so much as trying to establish a running game?

I'm sorry, but Andy Reid has a lot to answer to the people of Philadelphia, the Eagles players, and even the fans of the NFL.  His selfish approach to this is despicable, and should he choose not to do an about face, and admit his mistake, then he should pay the price with his job.  He should be fired, and there's no way you can justify trying to win in the NFL without at an absolute minimum trying to establish a running game, ESPECIALLY when you have a RB like Westbrook.  Reid is embarrassing!!

It's time to either resign, or let him embarrass himself even further and end the year by having the Eagles organization fire him.  His actions are despicable!!

Gee, just think if you were a fan of:

St. Louis--how many playoff games has Martz been to since losing the Super Bowl in 2002?

Seattle--how many playoff games has Holmgren WON since he won the Super Bowl with the Packers?

Kansas City--how many playoff games has Vermeil won since he won the Super Bowl with St Louis?

Dallas--how many playoff games has Parcells won recently?

Or how about the great Belicheck--even his 2002 team MISSED THE PLAYOFFS
or, how about these teams--

New Orleans--just think, we could have had Jim Haslett coaching this team, which would have meant no McNabb and probably no playoffs

Houston--or we could have had Dom Capers

As I said in other threads on other boards, Reid won't be truly appreciated for what he's done in Philly until he leaves--a lot like Mike Schmidt with the Phillies. And THEY STILL HAVEN'T FOUND A WORTHY SUCCESSOR TO HIM YET.

Do you realize this is the most prosperous this organization has been since the 40s?

Yes, let's go back to teams that were like the 1972 team--14 TDs in 14 games

Everyone is frustrated, but a lot of people are being ridiculous. And who are you going to get to replace him that would be a QUALITY REPLACEMENT. Not Weis--he's locked up for 10 years. Pete Carroll you say--not a chance; he failed in his first two stops.

This is exactly why all the bullshtein talk about the Patriots being a dynasty is totally farged up.  How can you be a damn dynasty when you miss the playoffs within the past three years?  That is no farging dynasty.  Farg the Patriots!!

3/4 Super Bowls... even if it's not a dynasty, it ain't too bad either.
