Some of my favorite comedies from 2000-2010:

Super Troopers
Wedding Crashers
Old School
Anchorman
Napoleon Dynamite
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Zombieland
Superbad
Scary Movie (solid re-watch the 2nd time then becomes almost completely unwatchable)
Pineapple Express
Knocked Up
Jay & Silent Bob
Joe Dirt
Van Wilder
Hot Tub Time Machine
Me, Myself & Irene
Zoolander
The Ladies Man
Saving Silverman

Quite a few of them have poor re-watch factors, but others I can watch over and over and die laughing like Super Troopers.

Also, watched Our Idiot Brother the other day.  I really don't know how to describe it.  It didn't have too many jokes that missed but it really didn't have any that cracked me up either.  I did chuckle throughout though.  Not great, not terrible.  It was just kind of there.  Whatever.

thats cause you prefer loud slapstick in your face comedy like will ferrell

wedding crashers was much more nuanced and used sarcasm and dry humor a lot.....which for me is much preferable to the goofiness and yelling of the other guys....who is that idiot that was in step brothers with ferrell....hes another talentless cranial lump who resorts to lowest common denominator stuff that caters to middle americans.....how did he even get into comedies to begin with?

vv in wedding crashers gives an all time great comedic performance.....he should have retired right after that movie...I just think about him in that and crack up

Agreed about Vaughn in wedding crashers.  My only complaint about WC is it tailed pretty heavily the last 25-30 mins (when Ferrell shows up) IMO.

Russell Brand in FSM killed me too.

its definitely a little too long but ironically being a ferrell hater i actually thought he was at his funniest in wedding crashers...the looks on owen wilsons face during the scene at ferrells mothers house are hilarious

Yeah, I really enjoyed that one too.  Couldn't remember if it came out before or after 2010 so I left it off because I was too lazy to google it.

I actually thought Ferrell kind of ruined Wedding Crashers.  Well, not ruined, but tainted.

Munson

Ferrell's cameo in Wedding Crashers is awesome. I'm with IGY on that, probably the funniest I've ever found him. Besides maybe Old School.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Diomedes

Tropic Thunder is the last great comedy I saw.
There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists." - Yosemite Park Ranger

Don Ho

"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

Don Ho

I swear Sarah Marshall is on at least once a week on FX.  Wife and i watched it the other night, again and we still crack up like crazy during the fake orgasm scene.

Inside job was the last great one I saw.

So apparently The Conjuring is supposed to be the bomb of a horror movie in quite some time. Might have to peep it.

SD

My daughter and I watched Sharknado tonight. Incredible.

I saw a ghost in one of the trailers that was literally a sheet. I'm not saying people are lying to you, but...

The man. The myth. The legend.

i saw a sneak preview of it.....its not one of the best horror movies ive ever seen but its one of the scariest....truly frightening at times....its not a whole lot different than the other 50 million paranormal horrors that have come out since paranormal activity blew up.....but its more scary than any of them

the end is stupid tho....kind of in the over the top way poltergeist was....i still the reccommend the flick tho

and reese stop saying things like "bomb of a movie"....you sound like an idiot
