The reason I'm not giving the Eagles a chance is mostly because of the defense, or lack of it

smeags

doesnt rogers have something like a 130 qb rating through the last seven games ? against much better defenses in several cases ?
If guns kill people then spoons made Rosie O'Donnel a fatass.

The Eagles have played 8 minutes of good football in their last 3 games, so it's hard to trust that we'll see them dominate as I believe that they are capable of doing.  But either way, I think the teams are as close to evenly matched as possible and am confused by anyone saying either team is the "better" of the two.  But I hope you are right, as you often are.

It has nothing to do with talent and everything to do with schemes.

That and the Packers D is very underrated. This was the worst possible first round matchup for the Eagles.

aaron rodgers is not a good road quarterback and the packers had a losing road record overall this year

And Dallas hasn't won a playoff game in 10 years and Reid has never lost in the first round. Any of that sound familiar?

PoopyfaceMcGee

Well, the Packers didn't kick the ever-loving shtein out of the Eagles last week either.

Oh fine. Eagles suck. Happy?

SD

Skip Bayless picked the Eagles to win.

So who wants to start the 2011 offseason thread?

hey, i'm not trying to convince anybody.  you can be a scared little puppy dog all you want.  all i know is the eagles are better and will win.

No, the Vikings did...which is way worse.

ice grillin you

im not as scared as i was earlier in the week because they are calling for 35 mph winds which could keep the game close to the point where vick can pull it out with his legs

but throw the weather out and terrible offensive line + terrible defense = substantial loss for the eagles

and theres not a chance the eagles are better than the packers...at best its even and probably more small advantage to gb....doesnt mean the birds cant win obviously but look at the eagles starters in this game...its embarrassing

i mean christ half their defense is made up of these guys..

joselio hanson
quintin mikell
kurt coleman
dmitri patterson
jamar chaney
moises foku

the only place on the field the eagles have a distinct advantage is at rb and they dont run the ball

While any loss to the Minnesota Webbs feels like a beatdown, it was only 24-14.  The Eagles moved the ball on multiple occasions but made some key mistakes and looked lost on D.  But Dallas completely dominated every phase of the game last year.  Just very different.

Again, I would definitely lean Packers in this game, but anyone giving the Eagles little to no chance of winning is just trying to protect their emotions from taking a hit if they lose.  The Eagles have the best offense they've ever had, and the Packers can't run the ball.  While the Packers passing offense against the Eagle defense and the Packers blitz against the Eagle offense should prevent anyone from considering this game a lock for the Eagles, it is not enough to count the Eagles out by any stretch.

So, what I'm saying is that SD and Tomahawk have weepy vaginas.

the green bay defense beat the jets not aaron rodgers  9-0

59 qb rating for rodgers

he beat a good defense on the road...didnt turn the ball over did enough to win...i dont think that mnakes him a bad road qb even tho he didnt have a great game

that would be like me saying green bay will win because vick is a bad home qb since the minnesota defense beat him

looking bad in a loss at home vs the vikings is worse than looking bad in a road win vs the jets

eagles theoretically have an advantage playing at home as any team would but saying they have an advantage because rodgers is a bad road qb is a stretch
