What about the advantage the Eagles have with the Packers starting two white linebackers?

While any loss to the Minnesota Webbs feels like a beatdown, it was only 24-14.  The Eagles moved the ball on multiple occasions but made some key mistakes and looked lost on D.  But Dallas completely dominated every phase of the game last year.  Just very different.

Minnesota used the same defensive scheme other teams have been using. The problem is the Eagles coaches won't adjust. I can already see Woodson and Matthews coming off the edge and Hawk and sometimes Collins coming up the gut with the safeties dropped back deep.

To me we'll know first series from the offense and defense whether they'll win the game. If the D is flying around making plays from the get go and the offense takes what the defense gives them initially (setting the big play up, not totally relying on the big play) then the Eagles could win the game. I just see no consistency from the coaching staff to think they're smart enough to game plan for this game.

I'm not saying the Eagles will 100% lose this game. They can win, with players like Vick and Jackson they're a threat to beat every team. I still stick to my initial prediction which is:
Packers 34
Eagles 23

Again, I would definitely lean Packers in this game, but anyone giving the Eagles little to no chance of winning is just trying to protect their emotions from taking a hit if they lose.  The Eagles have the best offense they've ever had, and the Packers can't run the ball.  While the Packers passing offense against the Eagle defense and the Packers blitz against the Eagle offense should prevent anyone from considering this game a lock for the Eagles, it is not enough to count the Eagles out by any stretch.

So, what I'm saying is that SD and Tomahawk have weepy vaginas.

this. the game should be a close one and to me will come down to turnovers.

and yes, i know about SD's weepy vagina as he's all too willing to show his after a few drinks.  8)

the one difference is that they actually lost to minnesota and lost ugly....before that maybe andy was thinking it didnt matter what the defense was doing because in the end vick would make enough plays to win...now 11 days past since the minny game you gotta believe he is going to come up with some new offensive wrinkles

So a game they have virtually no chance to win is going to come down to a 1 point game?

If Vick gets any protection the Eagles win & fairly easy I think.

reese125

I wish I could agree, but the Packers haven't lost fairly easy all year. I think I read their biggest loss was by 4 pts.

I think this game has nail biter written all over it regardless of protection.

whoops. that's what i get for not having my glasses on.

They've never trailed by more than 7

You really think Andy is going to adjust? That's hilarious especially coming from you.

If the Eagles are going to stick with throwing the ball 20-40 yards down the field every other play then they need to max protect Vick and not send 5 receivers out thinking he's going to get rid of the ball. No one wants to admit it but Vick panics more than any QB in the league. It's not all his fault and sometimes it's a great thing when he gets a lane and takes off. But then there's times (I counted a bunch in the Minny game) when he doesn't let the pocket form because he doesn't have the confidence in his O-line. He's too used to having to do it all by himself at this point.
