it not about running it 25-30 times. its about running the ball when you should. the way the vikes were coming at vick the draw would've been an almost guaranteed 6points.

the running game was getting blown up by the blitzes as much as the passing game...you just dont notice it like you do when a qb gets acked or is running for his life...for whatever reason they have gotten away from running screens...part of the problem is vick is not a good screen qb...he doesnt sell it at all and he throws the ball to quick and hard which deosnt let them develop like they should....but they still needed to attempt them against the vikings...if you dont wanna do it to shady then how about some bubble screens to pimp or mack and let them get in the open areas that were being vacated by blitzing corners and lb's all game...they also should have been releasing the te on a hot routes...let him read the blitz and coverage and have him sit in an open area vick drop three steps and hit him

in the end running it wasnt gonna work against what minnesota was doing...they needed to adjust the passing attack by shortening it....something they refused to do...i think because of the giant comeback and an inferior opponent they had blind faith in the offense which ended up getting them killed jonestown style
