Haha.  I thought it was kind of funny how people were changing their minds about him after Sandy.  I saw that shtein all over my FB from people who like 2 weeks earlier were posting how despicable he was and then after Sandy they're talking about how great he is and how it's nice to see a Republican break out and publicly commend Barry, blah blah blah.  Of course he was being nice you farging dimwits.  His state just got shredded and he needed, um, what's that callled?......oh yeah, federal farging aid!

But he said some nice things about Barry.  Who cares if he was desperate, right?  Idiots.

how a person legislates and/or votes is all that matters....everything else is politics

Yup.  Basically, by playing the nice guy/victim, Christie actually politic'd himself some positive publicity with lefty voters.  And sadly, there's probably going to be quite a few who remember that more than they remember his voting/legislation record come reelection time.  I don't know if it's public info or not or if there's anyway to tell, but I'd be willing to bet that the # of votes Christie gets from non-Republican voters in his next election goes up noticeably.

Rome

Either Christie experienced an epiphany or he didn't.  It's irrelevant.

What matters is what he's done since from an electoral persective.  If I'm still a reg voter I'm out on him, period.

what he did after the storm was exactly what he should have done...and he should be lauded for it...i would never hold it against someone in new jersey for voting for him because of it...everyone has their reasons....but just because his lips met barrys at the middle of a corn dog on the boardwalk doesnt mean hes bill clinton...theres a much bigger picture here

Big picture wise, I agree.  He did what needed to be done.  But the public reaction to it was off the charts bad.  People saying they pulled a 180 on how they felt about him and that he must not be such a bad guy, blah blah blah.  It was sickening, actually.  He's a fleshpop who managed to stop being a fleshpop for about 30 seconds because he needed something really farging bad.

If a person's sole or primary reason for voting for him is simply because he stopped playing partisan politics in order to get swift federal aid and response after a devastating storm, then I'd absolutely hold it against them.  After all, now you're voting for the guy on tv who played nice with the President for a few minutes (politics) rather than voting based on his legislation and voting record.

I laughed and vomited at the same time.

im not talking about the bipartisanship im talking about what he did for the state in general and what he did specifically for storm victims

Sassy... I read those same quotes you were referring to on Facebook and I had the same reaction.   Are you farging kidding me?

It's like the Reagan worship you see from Democrats.  Puzzling, stupid and more than a little pathetic.
