One nice thing I see here is a CBS article stating American workers are quitting their jobs at near record highs and businesses struggling to get good help. Coupled that with Biden's announcement that we will take in 100,000 refugees and it seems a good intersection of unusual job opportunity with a wave of refugees that need help getting back on their feet and rebuilding their lives.

Political punditry and liberal posters: "Biden went too far left! He's chasing away the moderates!"

Reality: The biggest dip in Biden's approvals are coming from younger further left generations who know Biden hasn't done what he campaigned on when it comes to some more progressive policies, many of which would directly impact their lives in positive ways.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

SD

I'm sure the far left that disapproves will just vote for Trump instead

MDS

people who dont vote are mad omg

if theres a constituency you can ignore its 18-25 year olds because they dont show up anyway. ask president sanders about that one

the midterms are going to be a blood bath because garden variety dems (ones who vote...black church going women, white people in the burbs) either dont give enough of a shtein or are mad about gas prices and will swing
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

No they just won't vote at all. Not something you can afford when the other guy drives up his base's turnout

Also gonna have to give up the trope of the non voting youngster. Millennials and Gen Z together make up ~33% of the electorate now. More than 50% of them voted in 2020, highest turnout rate for young people since the age was lowered to 18. And that number tended to be higher in the swing states Biden won. You need those generations voters now, or you're not winning.

Fact is, if those generations were approving of Biden in these approval polls in the same % they voted for him, he's probably sitting in the 45-50% range that seems to be the general place where presidents sit in this time of polarization, instead of the low 40s

Not happening.

Trump was the political version of "scared straight". The I'm not voting pouty whiners and the I'm gonna be cute and vote 3rd party people now realize the other option is so bad it's not worth their plight.

Weak bait because even you're not that naive.

The man. The myth. The legend.

SD

Not bait. If your option is whoever or Trump you're not sitting out if you're on the left because of policy disagreements. If you are then you might as well buy a MAGA hat.

General_Failure

That is the thinking of the democratic party, yes. Just assume people will keep voting to drown slower.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Munson

Yeah I think you're underestimating how detached from party loyalty millennials and GenZ are. I'm not saying NONE of them disapproving Biden will vote for him, but it will be less than it was in 2020 if we keep on the same trajectory. They hate republicans yes but if Dems aren't giving them what they want after they helped put them into power, they're not gonna be nearly as rabid about getting out to the polls

oooo a gold star for the kiddies

old people are a higher % of the electorate and more of them vote than 18-24. that demo just dont really matter and their detachment is not the reason november is going to blow

stop trying to push your bern bro crap your boy got his clock cleaned twice...people who vote...i.e. older blacks....dont dig him

You're wrong but okay.

Also the most likely voter is an older white college educated female government employee. Older people in general vote more but the older black vote is probably less of the electorate than the millennial vote, let alone millennial+GenZ. Boomers in general have fallen below 50% of the electorate now.
