HA!!

With the divorce rate in this country so high and half the kids coming from broken homes, anyone who says a gay couple can't raise a kid as well as a straight couple is just plain wrong.

General_Failure

There's no way a gay couple can't do at least a half-assed job of raising a kid. That's all we expect out of straight parents, single parents, and godparents. Let's just all admit that we're uncomfortable with the idea of man-on-man action and ugly woman-on-woman bumping and stop pretending that consenting adults are somehow evil people for having feelings.

The man. The myth. The legend.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Nice try, but we all know you love man on man penetrating action.

General_Failure

Only the violent side of that. That is to say, the violent non-sexual side of that.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I was having dinner over my brother-in-law's house the other night, and he asked me if I had saw the New Yorker cover. We've never talked politics in the past, so I was kind of surprised he brought it up. I told him that I hadn't seen it, but I had read about it. I went on to tell him how ridiculous I thought it was. Much to my surprise, he went on to say that Obama is the worst possibility ever for a presidential candidate, and that Obama was a Muslim and would allow Iran to take over Iraq, yada yada. I challenged him on the whole Muslim thing, saying that there is no proof that he is a Muslim, and stated some other evidence speaking to that fact. He asked me why he changed his name to "Baracka". I asked him where he heard such a thing, and he stated someone in work had told him that Obama changed his name, and that he had attended "Muslim schools".

This whole conversation was pretty eyeopening to me. For one,  the guy always seemed to be middle of the road, but yet seemed to have a seething hatred for the Obama, and not because of his policies or anything, but because he suspected he was a Muslim. Secondly, he wholeheartedly believed every word some coworker told him, and will absolutely allow it to affect his vote, without doing one bit of research on his own to validate his coworkers claim. This made me pretty disappointed.

You care.

seems youre in the same boat as me...thats exactly what i was saying last week about my sister in law...your bro in law seems more virulent than her....but the moral of the story is that these attitudes dont just come from the people you would expect it to come from...i dont know what your bro in law is like but ive met numerous people who are pretty cosmopolitan and yet hold these ridiculous beliefs of barry...its so baffling to me

question: is your bro in law someone that would or has voted democratic on occasion

Hearing shtein like that scares the farging piss out of me. How difficult is it for people to educate themselves just a little bit? We're all farged.

Well after all of breathless gasping that news reporters did when he 'only' rasied $30million the previous month, I'm not exactly surprised that he saw a jump in contributions.
