Was it just me, because everytime a run was stuffed it was either dhani or trott gettting up.  Those guys had more impact on the run D than any of the front 4.  But u are right, I was angry at the pressure they weren't getting.  they def helped on the run. how about a C then? half good on run half horrible on pass pressure.  is that ok with you?

If a D-lineman can make the tackle, great. If not, their job is to shut down the running lanes. Our DL did a superb job of that today, freeing the LBs to get into a position to make a play deep.

And that's the thing.......

The d-line may not have been making all the tackles but at the same time they were being pushed all over the place when the Raiders ran the ball.  The running lanes weren't big and the d-line was getting enough push limit the rb's options when he had the ball.  They didn't get beat at all today buy cutbacks.

All I gotta say is they could of gotten some pressure and even 1 sack on statue.

Couldn't agree more, our pass rush was non-existent today.  :boo

Patterson had a sack.  8)
And a forced fumble...  8)

Of course, Kearse and (Adams?) did a great job of knocking each other away from the ball.  :boom

Oh stop. Would you have felt better if they both DIDN'T go for it?

I felt McNabb really stepped it up in the second half.  Hes def hurting though and if we were taking on a decent team then we would of lost.  The Raiders basically gave us that game with all the penalties.

Akers, god u have to love the guy for trying.  He needs to know when to say enough.  that opening kickoff was hard to watch.  reids gotta get him out of there.  on a high note he won us the game, amazingly enough.  im all for giving the other kicker a shot.  and letting akers heal.  hes as important to this team as any other player.  today showed it.

Play calling was bad in first half.  Second half they started to open up the playbook with ACTUAL run plays.  and wow it worked.  maybe we should stick to that then.  if McNabbs not healthy then they will have to.  id like to see more of the run game regardless if McNabb is injured or not.

Grade A to the DB's today -except Hood

Grade B- to linebackers

Grade F to front 4.  I didn't see one sack.  the statue of collins had no pressure.

All in all our defense really bailed us out.  Id like to see more pressure on QB.  Where were JJ's blitz's???

How can you give them an F when they didn't give up any rushing yards?

That is their job, allow the backers to make the plays.  I am more and more impressed with Patterson.

Ugh.

Settle down girlie... I simply pointed out the rest of the play.

I think everything has already been said that needs to be said.

Except, I do think that Akers should sit possibly the next two games. I don't want to aggravate that hammy any more than it already is. I think Frances should be able to get us through the bye week, and by that time Akers would have had ample time to rest and recoup that hammy (barring he didn't do any more damage to it today).

I'll take the win anyway I can. The Eagles could have ran the ball more than they did, I believe. Westbrook had some nice lanes to run through.

I thought the O-Line played awesome. They gave Donny so much protection today and they did run block pretty well when given the chance.

I was disappointed with the D late, but they played a decent game barring some critical mistakes. I'm glad to see that the Run D has returned.

Does anyone know why Collins always has great games against us? Or at least always gives us fits when he plays. He always did it with the Giants and now he seems to be at it again with the Raiders. It just seems like he always turns it on against us. Anyone have any career stats for the drunken one against the Eagles? I bet they are pretty damn good.

He must know JJ's scheme fairly well.

Akers should sit the next 4 games. farg 2. He needs to be 100%.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

OK, so I'm jumping ahead.  I didn't see the game today (wasn't on in St. Louis), but I watched a lot of the play-by-play online and read these comments.

We've played 2 average teams, and one zesty team.  We destroyed the zesty team, but the average teams gave us trouble.  We could just as easily be 0-2 or 2-0 over them as we are 1-1.

So, next week we play what looks to be a really strong team.

What do the Eagles need to do to pull a 'W' from Arrowhead?

All sides of the defense look pretty good, so I think the troubles are on offense.  McNabb is apparently looking less than 100%, and Akers is bothered.  Westbrook is playing fantastic, as are the recievers.  I think AR needs to come out running next week, and keep the run throughout the game to keep KC's defense honest.

Who needs to step it up?

Props to the Raiders KR for blowing a last second shot for his team. Nice  :yay
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

A healthy McNabb, Akers, Westbrook, Walker, and a farging running game.

Phanatic

The online play by play said there were a lot of sotgun formations. Was this accurate?

Good to get the win, but the offense seems to be struggling.

Going into KC I'm a little worried.

There was some shotgun, yes. There was also a lot of singleback formation with Westbrook split out wide. That left our FB behind McNabb. Reid, you wanna telegraph the play or something buddy?
