Your inability to grasp anything less subtle than cannon fire might have something to do with it.

I am having trouble understanding how you could miss the obvious inferrence about the zombie-vampire-monster-bitches having feelings/intelligence. It was pretty apparent.

it was five seconds of a two hr movie...whether it was obvious or not it was completely played down

im sure it was a huge part of the book which is what is skewing your feelings on the movie

The reason that it was "played down" was because they had to be able to sell the notion that Smith's character didn't make the connection, but instead chalked it up to creature's insanity and complete detachment from being anything human.  You've got Smith playing a super smart scientist type Dr who was clearly in love with his wife and kid, yet he completely overlooked the fact that this male was pissed off because his lady friend got snatched up.  If they would been more blunt about it, in the first place then it would have probably ruined the movie completely.

While we're on the subject of Will Smith disappointments, Hancock was comparatively worse than I Am Legend, and it had every reason to be a good flick.

I still don't get the Hancock marketing strategies.  In one set of commercials it's portrayed as a slapstick comedy.  In another set it's being sold as a dramatic action picture.

Weird even by Hollywood standards.

They obvioulsy had no idea how to make that movie work. Which is definitely a shame because it had potential.

Also, I keep seeing commericals for Hex, or Jonas Hex or whatever. It looks terrible but I'm still going to see it.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Will Smith is starting to seem like he plays the same character in every flick.

I am legend
Hancock
The persuit of happiness

Maybe its how he portray's his character's emotions. Isn't it an actors job to make it seem different everytime?

Maybe not...its like watching DeNiro or Pacino in movies...you know what  you're going to get.

What the farg do I know.

Hancock was the first movie I watched where I said to myself "oh, so that's where they changed writers."

The man. The myth. The legend.

Rome

I take it you never saw Scarface.

First half of that movie was incredible.  The second was bad.  Like Showgirls bad.

Scarface is incredibly overrated

Your face is overrated.

(Okay, that's a lie.  It's breathtaking.)

I've watched parts here and there, but to be honest Pacino's voice makes me stop watching.
