I've only seen Scarface once and thought it was forgettable.

Confession: I've never seen any of the Godfather movies in their entirety. I own the trilogy and have seen each in bits and pieces but as a story I could only tell you what happened in the first one. One of these days I'm going to buy a case of beer and order a pizza and watch the entire trilogy. I should probably skip part 3 since I heard it blows but I'll give it a watch since it's part of the story.

The thing is, by itself Part III isn't that bad. Had it been called "Old mob guy, Part I" no one would really think twice about it. But it doesn't do anything for the other two godfather movies. It was an obvious cash grab, but it does have some value, but don't watch it back to back. Watch 1 and 2, wait about a year, then watch 3.

Following, by Christopher Nolan.  Clever enough, perhaps too clever.  Well written dialogue.  Think this was one of his early ones I think.  Barely over an hour, worth the investment.
