speaking of netflix.....i'm annoyed with them right now.

their instant view sucks now that i've watched the 20 or so movies they have that i was interested in. the selection is total crap right now. i guess it's easy to let people watch an unlimited number of movies on instant view, when they are mostly movies that no one really wants to watch. the only appeal to it right now seems to be if you're a tv junkie as they have a shteinload of tv shows available.

the other thing that's kind of annoying is their "recommendations based on other movies i've watched." i just logged on to see if i could find a movie to watch tonight and here's what they recommended for me based on my interest in conan the destroyer (watched it over the weekend):

40 days and 40 nights
groundhog day
28 days
first wives club

apparently, the brain trust at netflix thinks that conan the destroyer is a cheesy romantic comedy. wtf?

my roommate, who just got back from iraq, bought surround sound and all this other fun stuff. so the movie was quite enhanced.

i highly suggest you see it. it might be better than pulp fiction.

Sounds to me like they're trying to do you a favor. I'm assuming Predator wasn't available.

lol...the over excitement right after seeing a movie is fun isnt it

its not even on the same planet as pulp fiction which btw isnt even as good as resovoir dogs which is tarantinos only perfect movie

i have no idea. i was browsing through instant view movies over the weekend, saw it, loved conan movies when i was a kid and watched it again. yeah, not quite as good 20+ years later but i still got a kick out of it.

i just checked the netflix "top 100" which i assume are the 100 most frequently rented movies. borat is still on the list. please end the world now.

i had more fun watching that than dogs.

how it holds up over the years and multiple viewings will determine if its better than pulp. right now i doubt it considering pulp is a top 5 all time re-watch.

it has to be on a subject that really interests me. super size me is probably the last documentary i've seen.

of course, i don't really follow the documentary genre so if there's any solid ones out there, i'm always open to suggestions.

also, it turns out that inglorious basterds is available on netflix so i just bumped it to the top of my queue. unfortunately for me, there's a movie arriving tomorrow (some chick flick i don't plan on watching) so if i mail it out saturday, i should get it mid-next week since mon is a holiday
