Anyone seen a good movie lately?

X3      meh.  thought the 2nd one was a lot better.

I thought X3 was better, but the script was terrible. Very cheezy script, especially the Wolverine/Jean scenes.

I thought the action/story line in X3 beat both the first two X-Men movies, to a certain degree. I like that it made it possible for a 4th one to be made....if they ever decide to go for it before the guy who plays Magneto dies...

As a follow up, I watched Brick again and liked it A LOT more the second time. The first time through I liked the main character but that was about it. The second time through I thoroughly enjoyed it. 4/5

You're really hung up on that one plot point. The whole point of him becoming the #2 guy is that he was useful to The-Drug-Dealer-Who-Was-The-Little-Amish-Bot-In-Witness. Obviously it wasn't that he needed to move his way up the drug dealing food chain or that he had somehow earned it. And his overwhelming need to be involved in this stupid situation fit perfectly with the fact that he was in high school. High school drama and teenagers' reactions to it are usually more emotional and overblown than the reactions of us grownups.

Anyway, it was good the first time and really good the second time.

Eyes Wide Shut did blow ass. I don't need the talented, but self-important, Kubrick to tell me that.

By the way, I finally got around to seeing The Shawshank Redemption. Yea, it took me that long. And to top that off, I kinda teared up like a little Hoyda at the end. I wouldn't call it crying, but there was some moisture. Still, I think only Magnolia was better in terms of movies I've seen. Being #2 on the MDS All-time list is something to proud of, ya hear.
