Random Eagles Information Still Not Worthy of a New Thread

If Gruden is the coach he will sign a vet QB. Unless he's changed his ways dude loves the Rich Gannon/Brad Johnson types.

If its Chip Kelly then this offense will be on fire.

The new coach will identify the core and gut the rest of the shteinbags so yeah I can see it happening. Unless its still Howie shot calling.

QuoteDuring training camp in 1997, Rhodes remarked that season's Eagles team was his most talented one to date. Despite the optimism, Philadelphia started 1-3, and never quite recovered, stumbling to a disappointing 6-9-1 record, including an 0-7-1 mark on the road. As the team struggled through the season, it was widely speculated that players had grown weary of Rhodes's fiery approach and were tuning him out.

Deja vu all over again.

I know I said Gruden earlier, but I was drunk. Very, very drunk. I'm on board with Chip.

Also, I think we can safely say no one is going to ever trade for Foles.

This offensive line is the worst I can ever remember in my four and a half decades.  Even worse than the shtein Marion Campbell trotted out there.  It might be a half decade before this team is relevant again.

Sadly, they will always be relevant to us. Regardless of which construction or reconstruction phase they're in.

I'm over them at this point.  I have no interest in watching this putrescence any longer.

PS: The line is going to get Foles killed.  I feel bad for the kid, actually, but I like the fact that he stuck his nose in there and wasn't shtein-scared.  He might be a keeper.

Too early to know anything for certain about Foles. I liked the fact that he anticipated some routes and threw to a spot rather than the receiver.  That throw to Avant was perfect had Avant not slipped coming out of his route and hurt his hammy.  He also threw behind a couple guys and made typical rookie mistakes. He never looked scared or overwhelmed though so he at least seems to have the right mindset.  I hope he finishes the year. Best case scenario is that he plays really well but the defense and special teams continue to blow games.

Re: 98 vs 12:  This is much worse than 98. We knew they would suck in 98 but most thought the 2012 team would be a contender.  Not to mention that in 98, the franchise as a whole didn't really have an identity yet since it was only a few years into Lurie's stewardship.  Now it's got this Lurie/Banner/Howie/Reid/Gold Standard stink all over it which was enough to enrage fans even when they were winning, so for them to play as gutless as they do makes it so easy to hate this team even more now that they look clueless out there.

At least Foles isn't a midget who is going to lost the ball almost everytime he gets hit, which is going to be a lot.

I got real sick of seeing him anxiously grab his ass with both hands before every punt yesterday.

Not to shine light on the dark days here, but no shtein it's the worst offensive line you've ever seen. Two 7th round picks are fighting for LT and RT, some undrafted from BYU is in his 2nd year playing C, the ugliest human on the farging earth who is a 5th round rookie is playing RG, and the only dude worth a damn in Mathis sucks because he can't block the entire defensive line. When you get a bunch of dogshtein players trying to block real NFL DL along with trying to make up for the mistakes by the other dogshtein players, of course they're going to blow.

Everyone needs to remember that FOUR of the starters are out. Yes, I know Herremans was gone only a couple weeks ago. Yes, I know the fireman sucks ass. The fact is that those dudes who are injured are real NFL players (whatever about Watkins). Last year when the line was Peters - Mathis - Kelce - Watkins/whoever - Herremans, they were farging good. That'd be the line next year. Sure, there's concern about Peters, Kelce, and Herremans coming off injury next year. But they're real players, and they're coming back. Of the current starting OL, Mathis is probably going to be the only one starting next year. So everybody needs to quit bitching about how this zesty OL is going to set back the team a decade. This season's over so whoever is playing OL right now doesn't matter. They'll all be gutted and other backups will be brought in.

And don't go off saying how I'm seeing roses and optimistic and all that shtein. I dislike the state of the team just as much as anybody, but I don't know how I'm the only one who sees this with the OL.

Sgt PSN

The o line doesn't need an overhaul, if that's what you're saying. In fact, whether it's Foles or someone else, the offense is only a good QB away from being pretty dynamic in 2013 (assuming the injured starters are back at full strength).

Defense, special teams and most importantly, coaching are in need of a dire rebuild.
