Not sure wtf you were watching but the O-line wasn't anywhere near great last year.

They were 8-8 after all and it took 4 straight wins to barely get them there.

I'm not wearing rose-colored glasses like Dillen, but I agree with Sarge. I just hope the line isn't so bad that it makes it impossible to judge Fole's ability.

General_Failure

Well he can't hit a receiver in stride on a three step drop, so we can make some judgments.

How can you say that after not even a full game? He was doing it constantly in the pre-season. Give him half a chance.

Sgt PSN

How have you been here so long and still can't pick up GF's sarcastic wit?

Remember? The pass hit Avant in the head, but he dropped it? So obviously Foles' fault? But not , so it's a joke?

General_Failure

Half joking. He did have some McNabb-like throws behind his receivers.

It will also matter next year what type of scheme the new Oline will run. Even if healthy Kelce couldn't start on many lines and I'm not sure about Mathis, who is now in a scheme that really suits him (though he is more versatile since he bulked up). Herremans is probably serviceable but might not be much more than that if he plays tackle and would ideally be upgraded.

Don Ho

What's a Turds/Birds game without a few worm burners?

I'll give Folles the benefit of the doubt - coming off the bench cold, no reps in practice, horrible o line, rookie mistakes, etc.  Saw some good, saw some bad.  I don't think we were expecting the second coming of Brady.

As long as Assy, most of this d line, the secondary, April & Co. is still around it doesn't matter who plays behind center.

What's infuriating is Justice and McGlynn are starting in Indy.  That would be the 6-3 Colts.

From what I've heard Justice is actually having a pretty good year. I never understood why they wanted to cut him and keep Dunlap. Even as back up, when he came in he played decently and was more of a Mudd kind of player.

Wasn't that the play that Avant slipped and pulled up lame with a hammy? Yeah, Foles kinda' double pumped to give Avant extra time. No ones fault really, unless you blame Avant for slipping.

Did I say they were great? They were good. McCoy ran all over the goddamn place and Vick sucked because Vick sucks, not because the OL sucked. They gave up 32 sacks last year, which is usually one of the better numbers in the league. The offense was good last year. You sure, you know, the defense being a shteinshow wasn't the real reason they sucked?

I'm not wearing rose colored glasses at all. This team sucks, but SOMEHOW I'm the only moron around here who knows that scrubs like Dennis Kelly, Dallas Reynolds, Demetress Bell and King Dunlap won't be starting next year.

Rome

Dillen... the fact that these scrubs suck isn't the point.  The point is this regime picked these scrubs and now they have a young kid starting behind them with the prospects of his getting his head ripped off a distinct possibility.  That's disturbing.

Also - the offensive line doesn't need an overhaul, Sarge?  That's sarcasm, right?  The starting center and both guards absolutely suck.  Herremans & Peters might be keepers (might) but both of them had season-ending injuries and both are over 30.  Is that what you're saying isn't an issue?
