Quote from: phillycrew on November 08, 2012, 01:02:42 PMGOP has stood for support of the military,

Dems hate the military and the GOP loves it, right?  Because the 2 largest annual pay raises in my nearly 18 years of service came from Clinton and Obama.  Meanwhile, the smallest pay raises came under Bush, which were the minimum required amounts to compensate for inflation. Our military spent 6 out Bush's 8 years in office fighting in 2 wars and he, along with a GOP controlled Congress (prior to 06) couldn't manage to pay the men and women fighting a war for them?  The GOP does love its military. They love the military in the same way Mike Vick loves dogs.....they're only useful when they're fighting.

Quotefamilies,

Is this a gay marriage thing?  Not sure what else separates the GOP from anyone else when it comes to families.

Quotelimited government

The Patriot Act says hi.  And in all seriousness, every political party is guilty over overstepping their bounds when in power.  Limited Govt is more myth than fact. It's also a matter of perspective.

Quoteand the nobility and the sanctity of human life.

Then why do so many red states utilize the death penalty?  Granted, there are some that don't and plenty of blue states that do, but if the GOP cared about life so much, wouldn't  every GOP controlled state be against killing?

QuoteLibertarians fundamental principle is individual liberty.  Democrats support the principles of justice, protection of the environment and individual rights and freedoms.  I think that many of the principles overlap but when it comes time for conflicting principles, each party promotes the principle that they believe is the correct answer.

Agreed.

QuoteThis isn't just true of the presidential race, by the way. These groups pumped an enormous amount of money into key Senate races, to no avail. For instance, two of the top targets of all this money — Sherrod Brown and Claire McCaskill — won decisively. All that cash wasn't enough to change the fact that the Republican candidates sucked.

Megyn Kelly is a total funhole but I would heart farging her.

lol this is hilarious

He's got a point, though. All those uncomfortably casual emails from -B where he and his staff were pestering me three or four times a day to vote, and those Tuesday emails saying when the polls close and that you don't have to leave the line for any reason, he was just being sarcastic.

A buddy wanted to check out a local Libertarian party meeting for the first time and asked me to tag along last night.

The group was as expected... No hope of relevance anytime soon.

As a registered LP I take that as a hurtful insult.

PS: I'm also in total agreement.
