Yeah, I saw his pics up on FB. You guys were not even 10 minutes from the house I grew up in and not even 30 seconds from where I used to get up in a few ladies in the Falls parking lots.

That was his honeymoon spot, I think.

So 10 years after people started jerking off to this show, I started watching it.  Season 1, ep 1-4 so far.  Gotta say, the first 3 episodes were good but I didn't see what all the hype was about.  But episode 4 started making a solid case.  It's still not there yet, but now I'm intrigued.

I won't post ad nauseum about the show like some people (all of you) but it's looking pretty good so far.  The scene with McNulty & Moreland re-investigating the apartment where that girl was killed by Avon's nephew was hilarious.  Who knew you could script out a 3 or 4 minute scene where the word farg (or some variation) was the only word spoken between 2 characters?

General_Failure

That's the scene where I gave up and turned it off.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Diomedes

That vignette is based on an actual case in which Simon observed a couple murder police dissecting a scene without saying much more to each other than "farg."  He dolled it up for the screen of course, but the point is, he didn't dream it up.

I'm home sick today so I'm going to burn through season 2. The boat in the beginning having the upper class party is called 'The Capitol Gains'. Probably something that wasn't as significant to me when I first watched this 4-5 years ago.

Season 1 is in the books.  Yeah, I can see what all the buzz was about.  The first few episodes were ok as things were unfolding.  Then the next several episodes got better as you started to see the bigger picture.  Then the last 3 or 4 episodes kind of blew my mind.

Farg you guys.  I actually hate that I'm liking it so much.

Also, Omar is gay?  Pretty big risk by Simon putting that in there.

SD

Yes, Omar prefers KFC over Chic Fil A

See what I did there? I stereotyped him for being black AND gay.

Diomedes

Omar prefer Hip Hop Chicken n Fish

no

he just likes having sex with dudes

is this seriously a question. i mean seriously. what the farg.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Omar is the shtein. You can't help but sit up and say "aww, shtein!" eveytime he pops up in a scene. Not to give anything away for Sarge, but his courtroom testimony was some of the funniest shtein I've seen in years.

Got 1 episdoe left in season 2. Waiting for the wife to get her ass home so we can finish it off and into season 3.
