5. Between December of '08 (you know Bush was still president at this point, right?) and April of '09, 3.8 million (private sector) jobs were lost....And from after April '09 until now, 4 million (private sector) jobs have been added. Was Obama supposed to add more than that? You seem to know all the numbers of just how bad this recession was yet you think Obama should ahve done better than recovered all of the jobs that were lost by the recession.

Yes, I absolutly think that a trillion friggen' dollars would do more than get back the number (3.3 mil created by stimuli) of jobs lost. Also, you chose to ingnore that (making your point for you, HA!) it's now coming out the counting of the jobs was flawed, that up to 40% of the jobs were part time, and a lot of the jobs created have come to an end. A trillion dollars and it's not meant to create permanent jobs?? Just keep it from falling off the cliff?? Like it's going towards now? Temporary jobs that your great grand kids are still going to be paying for??? Heres something thats economics 101 for you, the government can't spend or tax the country out of a recession or debt! It doesn't work. Obama should know this, but he has no experiance. He knows nothing of running a business let alone the economy. A convienience store owner from Kazakstan knows more than he does. We're still in a recession. The housing market sucks and if unemployment isn't going up, it isn't making any moves to go down either. The stimulus created a little more than half of what Obama told people it would, but it's still touted as a success.

Quote7. I think up until this post I've been pretty civil with you, but your refusal to do any indepth research into the talking poitns your spewing is incredibly frustrating. I've tried to do a little of the research for you there, but I implore you to do some on your own because a civil discussion is had much easier if you stop using logical fallacies or flat out untruths in your arguments.

Refuse to do research? Ha! Half of the stuff I see on the web, I wouldn't post here because it might cause one of you to go on a postal shooting spree. People who think as most do here are a minority thats getting smaller by the day as Obama keeps going.

Newsflash, just because someone doesn't agree with you're views, doesn't mean they aren't informed and are lying. You act like you're doing me a favor, making that extra effort to be civil, but as with the local jarhead the fact that you have to try so hard says more about you than it ever will about me.

Obama didn't spend a trillion dollars in the stimulus...he spent about 400 billion. The rest was tax cuts/tax incentives.

Are you really trying to blame the stimulus of 4 years ago for what the economy is doing right now? Can you name one thing, anything, in the stimulus bill that is effecting the economy (private sector) today?

But no, government spending during recession is not meant to create permanent jobs.

And once again, for the last time...The stimulus, and all of the numbers that were projected for it, were created on the premis that the economy was shrinking at a 4% rate....they didn't find out until a couple years later that teh economy was actually shrinking at an 8% rate at the time.

This is now the 5th time that point has been made, but you continue ignore it. No surprise.

And, once again, government stimulus isn't meant to either 1. Get the country out of debt, or 2. Get the country out of recession. It's meant to easy the blow of the recession by keeping capital flowing through the economy until things pick back up.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

shorebird

He spent 80 billion. It was a failure, but it wasn't anyones fault because the economy was shrinking at a 4% higher rate than previously known. Yeah...right.

Theres nothing in the stimulus bill that effects the economy now, and thats part of the problem. Billions spent on green energy that was supposed to provide alternative power and create jobs. Half the corporations Obama dumped money in are belly up, and the other half continue to lay people off. Were is the 150 mile per gallon car Obama promised? Not going to happen. Billions of bailout money for car companies who continue to employ union workers, and billions of bailout money for banks who in turn caked off all thier executives.

Name one thing Obama has done that he promised. The best thing that the man who wanted due process for terrorist has done is kill Osama Bin Laden. And he continues to add to his kill list, a complete turn around from were he was in the begining. Were did he get the intell to be able to take out all these terrorist? It came from the techniques used, waterboarding included, at Guantanomo.

Give me one good reason to vote for Obama, other than Romney sucks, or that he looks cool drinking beer. He keeps saying he wants to finish what he started. Well, what has he started? Obamacare?? Thats going to get shot down in the supreme court as unconstitutional. Seriously, I have an open mind about this because I'm really not too enamored with Romney.

Anyone watch "41" on HBO?  Pretty interesting stuff.  G.H. Bush has moments in it that genuinely made me laugh.

I tried to channel my inner fiscal conservative and was still on the green/purple line. The test clearly introduces a great deal of bias.
