premise of this article is that MD blacks are suddenly polling overwhelmingly in support of gay marriage, a big change since before Obama came out for it....and if these projections bear out, Maryland will likely be the first state to make gay marriage legal by referendum.


Not mentioned but I recently heard...NAACP came out in support of gay marriage.  Both of these moves will certainly shift numbers.

ill believe it when i see it because polling on gay marriage is normally very inaccurate in the direction of favoring....people dont wanna look like haters so they say they support but vote against....still 57 to 37 is huge and if any state can finally break the 0-33 streak its the most liberal in the nation

Bullshtein. You don't just change three decades of what you believe unless you're just a blind follower. It happened in the span of about three weeks. The better part of the black community, and the national organization that claims to represent them. Most all of them hold a firm belief in God and the bible, so I guess that they will tear out the pages that go against homosexuality. It's no different than the far right and the way they passionately hate the left and democracy. African Americans, Gays, and minorities will do anything to get Obama re-elected. Hell, there are people on this board who would vote for him twice if they could, simply for the reason that they think he looks cool drinking beer.
