Newt Gingrich won a landslide victory in the South.  Think about that for a second and then farging tell me this country isn't five minutes away from being a Christian version of Taliban-ruled Afghanistan.

The racists want Obama out so bad they're willing to do anything at this point even nominate someone as fundamentally awful as Gingrich.

I still think common sense will rule the day and Romney will eventually secure the nomination, but wow... just wow.

It extends the fight, which serves only to tire and distract the contenders and their cornermen from the big fight.  Let them duke it out some more, it'll be a fun show.  At this point, you know Romney has the money and organization to keep going and obviously Newt isn't going to quit...nor will Paul, of course.  Santorum will be out soon.

I'm not all that surprised at Santorum's showing in S.C.   He's a Yankee and despite the fact that he's more of a bible thumping inbred redneck than most of the inland dwellers in S.C., he's still from Pennsylvania.

Semantics you may say, and surely you are right that Southerners see anyone from above Virginia as a Yank, but Southerners are generally uneducated and ignorant, so what they "think" really doesn't matter.
