Stop. This conversation is pointless. There's a military code of behavior when it comes to war (and everything else). These jackasses broke that code and will be punished accordingly. Why bother getting into a philosophical conversation about it with the resident troll?

Typos seriously drive me crazy. I cant logically explain why I get so wound up about them. It's a sickness.

Also I hate all of you.

i can explain it--youre an ocd control freak that is systematic in the way things work. anything out of the realm throws your mind into anger, which is followed by rage that turns into a 3 day bender of alchohol and cocaine.

that'll be $320.

This board has more amateur psychiatrists than football fans. An impressive feat.

To be fair, though, Reese nailed that diagnosis, but then again it applies to most of us here, so...

once you are dead nothing bad can happen to you

So if your Mom, or your girlfriend/wife was shot, and then her body drug through the street while people beat her with sticks, threw rocks at her, pissed on her and cut out her eyes and tounge, you'd be ok with that?

honestly i wouldnt care in the least...dead is dead is dead...by no means am i saying its acceptable behavoir but what someone does to a dead body means nothing to me...the death of a live human being is the important part and thats my problem with the soldiers actions....the fact that what they did will probably be a catalyst for the killing of numerous human beings.....what happens after that is irrelevant to me

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Jobless Claims in U.S. Fall to Lowest in Almost Four Years

Jan. 19 (Bloomberg) -- Fewer Americans than forecast filed first-time applications for unemployment benefits last week, easing concern that post-holiday firings were on the rise.

Claims plunged by 50,000 to 352,000 in the week ended Jan. 14, the lowest level since April 2008, Labor Department figures showed today in Washington. The median forecast of 41 economists in a Bloomberg News survey projected 384,000. A Labor Department spokesman said the decrease reflected volatility seen during this time of year. The four-week average, which smoothes out fluctuations, decreased to 379,000 last week from 382,500.

Companies are slowing the pace of firings and beginning to step up the pace of hiring even as a slump in Europe spurred by a default crisis may limit U.S. growth. The improvement may be a sign that companies are looking to expand their workforces as sales climb.

"You've got a gradual improvement in the labor market," said Brian Jones, a senior U.S. economist at Societe Generale in New York, whose forecast of 363,000 was the lowest. Because of "choppiness with the beginning of the calendar year, you have to look at the four-week moving average" which he said was "encouraging."
