Query:

A friend of yours asks you to go to a ball game.  You say, meh, okay.  I'll go.  You go to the game, you split beers all night (you buy two he buys two, etc.)  After the game he says, let's go to the bar to watch the end of the Phils game.  You do.  The bartender (my chick buddy) gets me a pitcher and leaves him beerless because he's an icehole.  I say meh, get him a glass, which he then pours full and drinks straight away.  We split the end of the pitcher.  Phils game is in the eighth, so of course, my bartender gets me another pitcher (reasonable assumption considering, amirite) to which there is no objection from party #2.

End of the game comes, we still have half a pitcher, douchebag throws up seven bucks.  HUH?

Um, the tab is 18 plus tip, bitch.

I settle the tab with my own money including tip and leave.  This motherfarger actually has the balls to say he only had two beers out of both pitchers (one of which I left half empty because he wanted to leave) so he should get money back.

WHAT?

I guess I'm old school but when someone goes out they should pay half a tab unless there's shots involved (which there wasn't).

Long story short, this icehole bitches me out all the way home because, evidently, I didn't give him gas money to go five miles (at his insistence since I wanted to sit at home and watch the Phils anyway) then caterwauls about the difference of one pitcher money-wise when I end up covering both pitchers including tip minus the tiny pittance he offered up.

My fault definitely, right?

I try to cover the whole tab.  I usually have to wrestle the bill away from one of my boys.  Friends > Money.

You can always get more money.

Stop hanging out with iceholes?

Seriously. If these are your friends, who are your enemies? Maybe you deserve a 'friend' like that for having him as a friend.
I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

Theres one thing different from 911 and Vietnam,  WWI, WWII, or Pear Harbor. They were civilians going about thier everyday lives, not soldiers. And it was an attack on American soil.

Big difference.

Hawaii was a U.S. Territory at the time - FYI

Yeah, a military base. A planned military strike/attack, not a terrorist attack. 911 was a planned attack meant to kill innocent civilians. Even the Japanease, as radical as they were in the 30's and 40's, would have never done anything close to 911.

Big, big difference.

Military strikes are terrorist attacks, especially when the attack takes place during "peace time" since the US wasn't involved in WWII at that point.  The only difference between a soldier and a terrorist is that the soldier fights for his country and the terrorist (typically) fights for his religion.

I dont know whats so hard about bar manners - if you go out drinking and everyone is taking part, everyone splits evenly - I dont care if you had one beer and I had 6; it will all come out in the wash at some point. I farging hate people who have an issue with this oh so simple rule of life.

Incorrect. The Japanese had all kinds of plans to use biological agents on the American public, and tried unsuccessfully to send up balloons that would drift in high altitude to drop bombs and chemical agents on American cities to cause panic, doubt, and demoralize.

NOT a big difference.

you beat me to it.  countless cities have been carpet bombed.. especially by us.  hell, ending the war cost japan two cities via nuclear weapons, the very same thing we worry about happening today with a dirty bomb.  the only thing different between 9/11 and leveling any other building, city, etc. with civilians in it is we did it with warplanes and bombs.. they used our own civilian planes against us.  war is war.. no reason to fight fair.  as for all the memorials, i couldn't care less.  whatever makes you feel better about it.  the thing that really irks me is the profit made off of all the 9/11 commemorative shtein.

yeah we are allowed to have our war on terror but when terror war on us we get all pissy and accuse them of cheating
