There's a reason why we don't keep in touch with childhood friends beyond the realm of high school.  Since setting up a facebook account, I've gotten dozens and dozens of requests from people I grew up and went to school with and I had to "de-friend" them almost immediately.  Some have grown into ultra conservatives, some ultra liberal, some still stuck in 1992 and other playing entirely too much farmville.  I have no desire to associate with any of them and more importantly I have no desire to put my own life on display for people I barely know anymore. 

Ironically though, one former classmate of mine who was the polar opposite of me in high school is nearly identical to me now.  We were friendly but not friends and now we have regular conversations.  Meanwhile, some of my best friends from high school have turned out to be appalling human beings.  C'est la vie.

Already read it.  Fantastic read, although it just causes my blood to boil even hotter.  I can't stand listening to the unrelenting hatred that spews from the right anymore.  I try to watch the news programs on Sunday just to keep current but they're all such loathsome human beings, I can't make it past five minutes before I'm forced to shut them off.

I don't know who was on this morning on Face The Nation but he was trumpeting the virtues of Michelle Bachmann and it was so outrageously nauseating I just turned the television off entirely and went out and did some yard work.  She is such a disgusting pig I find it astounding that anyone could align themselves with her, but a lot of people think they way she thinks.

As if CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS and ABC aren't liberal mouthpieces. Yeah, I am a republican (really more of a libertarian) and I realize FNC is slanted heavily right, but so am I. I have tried to watch some of the other networks and can't stomach them (much like most of you can't stomach FNC). I don't really think they (FNC) are any more guilty of being a shill the all the ones on your side.
