the "liberal media" thing was propaganda invented by the right to get people to stop believing what was said and written about them.

yes, the people running the times, post, nbc, abc, cbs, etc. are probably limousine liberals. the reporters probably are bleeding hearts. this is who goes into this industry, people who are republicans are more prone to simply following orders and following chain of command. that mindset goes against the basis of journalism.

difference is sure those people think that way, but roger ailes, who runs fox, is actually a republican operative. he worked for nixon and was a key strategist for many years. then he went on to produce limbaughs tv show. he is an unapologetic republican. fox news was created to carry out a very specific voice and reach a very specific audience.

CNN is terrible and MSNBC is the lefts lame answer to fox. but you cannot sit there and tell me brian williams is a liberal. or that 60 minutes leans left. or that nightline is like that. watch those newscasts if you need information. cable news is disgusting and just horrible. please dont loop msnbc and fox in with everyone else.

Sure, he was outright wrong for what he said, but did he call for revolts and action anywhere close to what you hear/see on Fox? No, again, comparing the 2...it's not even possible.

to the degree that a news organization does it's job, it is liberal.  the entire idea of a free press is liberal.  in fact, the conservatives who did not want these upstart liberals to have freedoms like speech had to be killed before we could get it.

so of course conservatives think the best news organizations are liberal.  they routinely expose the status quo as rigged for the wealthy and privelaged, they regularly pull the covers on dirty politicians, they constantly sting the asses of the people who resist change, dislike progress, and seek to maintain power for those who have it.

it's the same with education.  fundamentally liberal.  the better educated a group of people are, the more liberal they are.
