Is McNabb too sensitive?

Hopkins is nothing but a low-life racist. Boxing is dead and he is trying to gain some publicity. In all honesty anyone but a diehard boxing fan not from Philly responds to his name by saying "Bernard Who?" WWE is bigger and more mainstream. MMA passed boxing in terms of credibility 10 years ago. Hopkins has zero relevance outside of Philly, and his only relevance here is in bashing McNabb. Would anyone honestly give a shtein what he says if it had anything to do with boxing, morals or economics? I wonder, does Hopkins raise his children in the projects in order for them to retain their "blackness" or does he aspire for them to be assimilated into white society?

Sgt PSN

This is the by far the most sense you've ever made.

I am feeling awfully good about my self now.

Eh. I find it hilarious that Hopkins won't let it go. I hope he keeps on ripping McNabb. It's more entertaining than watching either of them perform as an athlete anymore.

Hopkins is a dolt. Let it go, Mr Washed Up Boxer.

Rome

Ironic considering Hopkins won the world championship in his sport roughly ninety gazillion times and McNabb, well, didn't and never will.

PhillyPhreak54

Good for him. Winning a championship in watered down boxing means a whole lot. He is a dumbfarg who needs to let it go. The only way that hack can stay in the news is to bring up McNabb. Otherwise he'd be irrelevant.

rjs246

Can't we just agree that they're both irrelevant?
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Then Hopkins is roughly equivilant to Tony Graziani.

Hopkins is a racist, but you cannot take anything away from his titles and work ethic. Next weekend he will attempt to be the oldest world champ ever and not against a cupcake, Pascal is a solid good champ.

ice grillin you

its crazy and super ironic how our two resident racists both got the black signal to fly in here and pounce on bhop for being a racist

please now explain how he is one.....i really wanna hear this as the explanantion should be pure MA gold
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

I think it's obvious that he hates Mexicans.  He never talks about them and from what I heard, doesn't employ any to maintain his property.

On a related note, one of my buddies at work is Mexican and he's out of town for 2 months, so he hired a couple white dudes to do the yard work while he's gone.

You really don't think the guy is a racist? If a white guy said these comments, your pasty ass would be all over it. I love Hopkins the athlete, Hopkins the person is different, he is a convicted felon and spews nonsense and racist comments.

QuoteHopkins has a history of making controversial remarks that are racially insensitive. Before his bout with Calzaghe, Hopkins stated that he would "never let a white boy" beat him.[20] Hopkins was ultimately outpointed by Calzaghe, losing the fight by decision.

In late 2010, Hopkins suggested that Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao could not beat an African-American fighter. "Floyd Mayweather would beat Manny Pacquiao because the styles that African-American fighters -- and I mean, black fighters from the streets or the inner cities -- would be successful," said Hopkins. "I think Floyd Mayweather would pot-shot Pacquiao and bust him up in between the four-to-five punches that Pacquiao throws and then set him up later on down the line...Maybe I'm biased because I'm black, but I think that this is what is said at people's homes and around the dinner table among black boxing fans and fighters."[21]

On May 11, 2011, Hopkins questioned Washington taterskins quarterback Donovan McNabb's racial credentials in a Philadelphia Daily News online article, saying in part, "He's got a suntan. That's all... McNabb is the guy in the house, while everybody else is on the field."[22]

The fact that you are questioning being a racist are laughable. :-D see I'm laughing about it.

ice grillin you

none of that is remotely racist...the mcnabb stuff is ignorant as shtein in the same vein as what jalen rose said about duke basketball players and the pacquio stuff is plain wrong but none of it is racist

pretty sure you dont know what racism is which is super ironic
