How far has Florida State fallen in terms of relevance in college football?

Saw Devlin play this weekend, he blew up Towson but who wouldnt.  That said, he's got a hell of an arm, very accurate, and def will be a pick in the first 2 rounds

IDK if he'll go first two rounds...he's not even the top ranked senior QB....but he should def go by the 4th. If he goes in the 1st or 2nd round it's because of Flacco and his success

So I was looking at this year's bowl schedule.  I know it's not a new rant or anything, but jeezus farging christ, how many bowls do we really need?  There's 35 on the schedule this year and I don't even recognize maybe 5 or so of the sponsors.  And they start Dec 18th and go to Jan 10.  3 full weeks of mostly meaningless bowl games.  Other than the championship game, Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl and maybe the Suger Bowl and Fiesta Bowl, do players even get excited for these games anymore?  I mean, do they feel an overwhelming sense of accomplishment for winning the Insight(.com) Bowl?  Do they get a trophy for that crap?  I bet the schools don't even display that shtein. 

I'm in favor of a playoff system to begin with but my new #1 reason is just so we can get rid of these stupid, pointless, multi-million dollar corporate advertisements disguised as a football game.

Oh, and it's also been reported that Cam Newton was paid to go to Auburn.
