I know it's not a new rant or anything, but jeezus farging christ, how many bowls do we really need?  There's 35 on the schedule this year and I don't even recognize maybe 5 or so of the sponsors.

They were on the right track by eliminating the Toronto ("International") one, then they go and add two more ("Pinstripe" at Yankee Stadium and "TicketCity" at the Cotton Bowl).  Plus a bunch of sponsors changed with the new ESPN deal, so now we get Beef 'O' Brady's, uDrove, BBVA Compass and Northrop Grumman.  Awesome.  Can't wait for that Northern Illinois/Arkansas State matchup...

HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i President M.R.C. Greenwood announced Thursday that UH has been asked to enter discussions for the Warrior Football team to join the Mountain West Conference.

The overture came in a telephone call to Greenwood earlier in the day from Mountain West Commissioner Craig Thompson at the conference's headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colo.

"The commissioner asked the University of Hawai'i to begin discussions with the aim of the football team entering the conference as soon as possible," said Greenwood.

Oh farg, Boise and TCU are back.
