nothing says "Big East" like TCU and Houston

neither one will accept anyway (they want the Big XII spots vacated by Nebraska and Colorado)

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Nothing says "guaranteed BCS bid" like Temple.

At a meeting Tuesday in Philadelphia, Big East presidents unanimously voted to expand their football league from eight to 10 schools.

The first candidate to join the league is Villanova, which was informally invited in September. The school is in the midst of its own fact-finding and is expected to give the Big East an answer around the end of the year.

If Villanova decides not to move up from the Football Championship Series, the former I-AA, Temple could be a candidate to rejoin the Big East football league. Villanova won the FCS national title in 2009.

In a statement, the Big East said it unanimously "approved the process to evaluate the terms and conditions for potential expansion candidates."

"Today, our board of directors affirmed a set of key strategic initiatives, including expansion, designed to enhance membership stability and maximize our value," said Big East commissioner John Marinatto.

TCU, currently ranked fourth in the AP poll and third in the current BCS standings, would be a top Big East target. The New York Post reported that TCU was interested in a Big East overture. Others mentioned as possibilities include Houston, Central Florida, East Carolina and Memphis.
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

you gotta read the temple board, insane hatred/bitterness/jealousy towards nova going on. for some reason they despise nova and this is just setting them off...nova being picked ahead of them. its really sad.

looks like they will take it and even if they dont temple is still a bit down the line. big east people still fondly remember temple blatantly not trying for 15 years and even though things have changed they clearly dont trust them.

thing is with nova is temple has exclusive rights to the linc and unless nova makes a too good too be true offer/an on campus stadium is built, they arent giving it up. so nova will have to play at the soccer stadium in chester....which im sure the crusty old white people will love.

its been acc or bust for us for 3 years now, at some point theyre gonna want to expand and hopefully they close the gap between bc and umd

It's not that he thought you were serious, it's just that this is the first time he's ever been able to write something and then actually back it up with viable source......and that probably excited him.

Toddy, you know that feeling you have right now?  That feeling of "this must be what it's like to be a journalist?"  Hold on to that feeling pal, because this is the best it's ever going to get for you.

MDS

wait so saying temple fans are stupid then linking a message board topic showing this = journalism

interesting.

This could get interesting.

So it seems more and more like some d-bag agent might have got himself paid and given the Newton family absolutely nothing.

This Michigan/Illinois game is insane. Neither team can play a lick of D. 1:51 left and it's locked up at 45.

67-65!  I didn't realize the Big Ten basketball season already started.
