He also pointed out that there is only one Comcast-affiliated network across its 39-state footprint that the company has not made available to all competitors--Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, and that it is ready to do so as soon as DirecTV relinquished its exclusive access to NFL Sunday Ticket.

this is either hideously written or im really dumb...is this saying that DTV no longer has exclusivity regarding the sunday ticket and because of that comcast will soon make csn philly available to everyone...or is this saying roberts will continue to shelter csn philly until DTV relinquishes its sunday ticket exclusive rights

So we still won't get CSN Philly?

The odd thing is the Loophole will be closed on April 2nd according to this article

So at that point, they'll be forced to share, but have to work out pricing with each other carrier.

horrible link but im guessing that comcast can offer the channel at an exhorbitant rate that would prevent any of its competitors from actually purchasing it

They can and cant, they know that farging around with a deal like this is going to possibly hurt them aquiring NBC Universal, so they have to play ball.  I would imagine they would get DTV to buy in at a slightly higher rate than fios.  For DTV and Dish, it'll be on the sports package, and shouldnt make any impact to the current pricing other than if your not in the Philly DMA you will need to pay 10 bucks for the sports pack

Just got it a out a week ago. Dont use it a lot because I don't talk on the phone very much but needed a land line since cell reception is spotty in the house.  No problems so far.  However, if you hook it up to a computer w/multiple user accounts then you need to keep you can only receive calls if you are logged into the account that has the software installed on it.

My gf installed it on her side so if I'm logged in and the phone rings, there's no one on the other end when I answer. But I can make outgoing calls just fine.  Weird. I'd say that as long as you're happy with your Internet service then you'll be fine with the magic Jack. $20 a year for unlimited calls is pretty damn nice.

yeah i may check it out. we use our cells so much it seems pointless to pay $30 something a month for comcast eventhough thats better than a phonce company. gonna wait till comcast works out the "glitches" in our area though.

The only problem I have with their internet service is having to restart my router after downloading torrents all night.
