Yeah...I kinda don't wanna talk to those people.

You can not talk to them all you want, but they're gonna vote.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I know some of those people, I work with one of them. She actually felt insulted by McCain's pick and will not be voting for him. She doesn't know if she's voting for Obama, but its not McCain.

And I'm still LOLing at the Righties here who are DEFENDING this pick and acting as if they like it.

When McCain croaks, I'm glad you'll feel safe with Palin as our President.

It makes me scared to death.

Allow me to interject some reason here:

Bush has been President these last eight years.  After two terms from that fargtard, even a empty skirt like Sarah Palin would be a nice respite.

not saying i like it, just find it humerous that you have more faith in someone who has done less

A VP pick hasn't gotten a president elected since Kennedy, and hasn't caused one to not be elected since... maybe ever? I know Republicans who honestly think McCain will cruise to victory now, and Democrats who honestly think this pick killed the McCain campaign. Wishful thinking on both sides. People overestimate the impact of these announcements because they are big news on the day they are made.

By the time November rolls around, no one will be voting for or against a VP pick.

shorebird

^^Exactly. After a year into the term of whoever gets elected you will be able to go on the street and ask 10 people "who is your vice president?", and you'll be lucky if you find two that can answer the question correctly.

Give me a break.  She has done zero - zip - nada.  You are saying that just because she is effectively a mayor of a mid-sized city, she is more qualified to be President of the United States - that is, knows foreign affairs, complex social and economic issues, than someone - anyone - who has served at the federal level?

Oh, and where exactly has the Alaska national guard been deployed?  And how big a force is that?  4 snowmobiles and a shotgun?
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

I'm getting more and more scared seeing how much of a drama queen you are about this, simply because I think it might be a "woman thing."  Yikes.

I'm pretty damn sure you'd find a reason to hate McCain's VP pick this much for a different reason, no matter who it was.  In fact, I would even say that most of the Obama fans on this board feel the same way about your reaction.

Simmer down.  We get it.  Anything you can come up with to be more for Obama and more against McCain, you will.

Cerevant

I disagree.  Most of the VP candidates deserved a yawn.  One or two would have earned a chuckle.  This one makes no sense.

BTW, according to Rasmussen, women hate her.

Oh, and if you didn't think she was waaaaaay out there on the right, she is for teaching creation in schools and doesn't believe global warming is man made.  Its farging Huckabee in a dress.

From your link:

QuoteNeedless to say, the PR battle over the next couple of weeks will involve the McCain campaign playing up her biography, and the Obama campaign playing down her readiness.

I find that laughable.  I would think the inexperience of Obama doing nothing would negate the inexperience of a VP candidate doing nothing.  If I were Obama's camp, I wouldn't touch that with Cerevant's dick.

QuoteIndeed, among voters already committed to one or the other candidate, her choice would seem to do little bit entrench partisan feelings: just 6 percent of McCain voters say they're less likely to vote for McCain with Palin on the ticket, while just 9 percent of Obama voters say they're more so.

So, more of Obama's supporters will vote for McCain now with Palin on the ticket than McCain's supporters wont.  Seems like a pub win, although minimal.

And "hate" is the wrong word, there Cerevant.  More women than not, at a 37 - 34 - 30 split are more likely / less likely / not sure think Palin was the right choice.  Not overwhelming by any means, but far from "women hating her"

The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

More like a mid-sized Hamlet....

This is TOTALLY not a woman thing FF and I'm farging insulted that you'd ever say that.

A QUALIFIED woman would be one thing. She is not. McCain or not, this choice makes ZERO sense.

If you feel comfortable knowing she is one step from being CiC of this country, I feel sorry for you.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
