The only thing that lightens my mood is the thought of Biden wiping the floor with her oversprayed mop of a hairdo on October 2nd. I can't wait to hear them debate about foreign policy.

Wait until McCain names Supreme Court Justices and then tell me we're better off... the big picture here is farging scary.

I just "vetted" her by masturbating to her photo.

I laughed.  I still hate you, but finding some sort of value in your post is new.

I was confused that this was not the other way around.

Still, only judicial conservatives on the court are older and near retirement, and the court really has been fairly moderate overall of late.  So, the worst McCain would do is status quo.

I do understand the point, though, and a balanced court is key.  Too liberal, and they're creating laws from the bench.  Too conservative, and they're likely to uphold outdated laws.

McCain basically did what he had to do with the pick of Palin.  I understand and partially agree with many of the knocks on the choice, but she is the political equivalent of a "hail mary," which is what he needed to have any chance in November.

BTW, the Obama campaign can't come up with anything better than "mayor of a town of 9000" and "anti-abortion?"  At least she's been the executive of something.  McCain, Biden, and Obama all have in common that they haven't run jack or shtein.  There's a reason ex-Governors have done better than ex-Senators in getting to the White House of late.

Regardless, I look forward to the October 2 debate - not because I think she is necessarily going to do well, but because I want to see if she can hold her own.  The problem for Biden is that the expectation will be that he wins flat out, and if she is challenging him, he could very well throw out another "clean stillupfront" or "dothead at a 7-eleven" type of gaff.

The more I think about this, the more terrified I become, quite honestly.

I really do believe that Obama/Biden wins, but then I think that this is the party that re-elected Bush & Cheney even after they knew what they were, even after lies and the war and the disaster that is the war in Iraq. This is the party that loves seeing hot women holding guns, and likes people who make the same grammatical errors that they do, and votes for people they would most like to have a beer with. This is the party that lacks any semblance of perspective on who America is in the world - who we used to be, who we are now, and who we should be again.

I've read a ton about her since yesterday and I can admit that the things she's done in office in Alaska have been decent, but she's 1.5 years into her term as a new Governor of one of the most corrupt states in the nation - it was like shooting fish in a barrel to make reforms there! Are you kidding me?

I am just astounded that all of the right wing who has kept us all so scared on the foreign policy front for 7 years is defending this choice. Its literally insane. How could they possibly trust her to lead the troops they blather so much about supporting??

This whole thing really depresses me.

The state of Illinois says hello! Are you kidding me, the home state of the chosen one is as, if not more corrupt then any other state in this nation. Obama the one who has been screaming change did nada to change the way things are done in illinois during his entire time here, just talk talk talk talk talk. Which makes sense cause thats all the dems do in this state is talk, they have full run of the state from the gov. all the way down and again this year these idiots can't even pass a budget. instead we have state parks and other places getting ready to shut down. Oh yeah our dem's are racist too, don't forget our Senate pres. who pulled the uncle tom line. So don't preach to me about the repub's who elect certin types, look at our state for a fine example of voting the company line, not matter what they have done, or will do.

And leading the troops? she is the only one with any sort of experience leading trroops, the Alaskan national guard, but it's more then Obama, McCain, and Biden have done combined in their political careers.

Keep on hatin it's all good.

Look, his point is still valid.  He was a senator in Illinois, which is part of a legislature, not the top man.

I think the choice of Palin is ridiculous.  I've been knocking Obama's experience for months as a major concern, but Jesus Christ, this woman's done basically nothing.
Anyone but Reid.

She gets the angry "but I wanted Hillary!" vote, which is all she needs to do. It doesn't matter one bit what her credentials are.

Diomedes

You really think she's going to pull those votes just because she's a woman?

Good to see they have a fire evacuation plan.

I'd like to see an Iraq evacuation plan more though.

Haha.  I knew someone would post that.

No, she doesn't.  He wants to believe that, but its not the case.

Talk to some of the angry "I wanted Hillary!" crowd. They don't give a shtein about platforms.
