I just switched back to Netflix.  I used to return online movies and store movies and also pick up new releases every Tuesday.  But, they changed their week of lenience to a firm 3 day rental policy.  Price of gas + having to go twice a week to really use the in-store stuff = fail.

We're starting on the 1 out at a time plan with unlimited online movies for $8.99.  You all care.

Sounds local.  My Blockbuster still has a 5 day return policy, and it's not really "late" until you are 10 days past that.  We're on the 1 at a time plan, but it's because we're poor.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

what are online movies?

Netflix now offers a bunch of movies available to watch on your computer (or on your TV if you are able to hook your computer to it).

Are you sure that's still the policy?  The change went into effect the last week of May.

Turned in a rental for a store DVD last week.  Was still 5 days, and the receipt had the "Purchase this by keeping it past..." line on it with a date 10 days out.

Maybe they're just trying out the new policy on you docile suthreners.

It still turns into a purchase 10 days out, but after 3 days, they start charging you $0.99/day.

I guess the "no late fees" was a bust and gotten rid of then?

And yes, it's been ages since I've rented a video.  PPV all the way when the mood strikes.

Hustler channel after Mrs. Geo goes to bed, huh?

Yeah, that's tough to get around too.  These browsers make it nearly impossible to clear one's cache or delete cookies.  NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE!

If she was regularly checking his cookies, he wouldn't need the Internet to begin with.

netflix selling out to the man

Netflix has agreed to a 28-day window before it rents Warner Bros. DVDs and Blu-ray discs after they go on sale. The idea is that this will allow Warner Bros. to sell more discs, which is more lucrative than rentals.

General_Failure

The reality is this will bring about slightly more illegally downloaded copies of Warner Bros. movies.
