The flights were easy, I slept through them. It was the parts in between the flights that were fun.

The man. The myth. The legend.

true, that is one of the reasons some of the smaller airport flights are so much.  since it's on the company dime and not mine, i never do any layovers.  which usually save a bunch of money.

that explains your nonchalance about a 900 dollar round trip.

The drive back usually sucks

What are you bitching about?  You got to chill in the passenger seat on the way back from Minny.

Yeah, but you made me "work the gear shift" for about half of that.  I'm still having nightmares.

I know the IRS checks went out last week, and I still haven't gotten mine.

I checked the IRS website to see what was up, and I found this: the order that the checks are being distributed

1. Rich White People
2. Middle Class White People
3. Poor White People
4. Asians
5. Did we miss any white people?
6. Illegal Mexican workers.
7. Bla - Are we sure there are no more white people?
8. Crazed Homeless Guys who live under an overpass (if white)
9. Late Night Talk Show Hosts
10. The blacks (if funds available)

I must be in step 5, or maybe even 7.

I was supposed to get mine direct deposited today. But come to find out that even though my tax refund was DD'd, my refund won't be because I used TurboTax and had my costs deducted from the return. TT processes the returns through some 3rd party bank who then transfers it into the accounts.

So now I have to wait for a paper check and who the farg knows when that will get here. I was hoping to have it this week so I can buy a plane ticket. Now I'll just put it on my card and pay the card off whenever the IRS sees fit to gimme my hush money.

Going back to the airfare discussion...

Smaller airports are usually cheaper, yes. Unless you are flying an airline that doesnt send many flights into that airport. For example, Continental doesn't go into Lousville much...only a few flights a day. But American is all over the place there.

Either way, the airline industry is a goddamn disgrace.

And next time I fly I am taking some piano wire with me. So when the chode in the seat in front of me tries to lean the seat all the way back I'll garrote his ass.

Usually I am lucky to get exit row seats for the extra leg room, but not last time.

QuoteThe first recognizable e-mail marketing message was sent on 3 May, 1978 to 400 people on behalf of DEC - a now-defunct computer-maker.

The message was sent via Arpanet - the internet's forerunner - and won its sender much criticism from recipients.
