Pirates 3: At World's End

They cut down on the flagrant use of the word pirate, and also the precious little plot the other two had. I give it two train wrecks out of five.

I finished the Bourne Trilogy today...I watch one movie each weekend for the past three weeks. I enjoyed them immensely and I dont know why it took me so long to get into them. Excellent all the way around.

Speaking of which, the wife and I watched "The Gameplan" finally this weekend. Many meh's all around, but let's talk about Rosalyn Sanchez a bit. Holy Lord.

good week for movies...

charlie bartlett - nothing really that special about this movie, but for some reason i really enjoyed it. about a rich, smart kid at a new school who starts selling prescription drugs so kids will like him. very good acting all the way around from the main kid to robert downey jr.

land of the dead - awesome. just what you want from a zombie movie: horrible acting, a couple hot girls (mena suvari doesn't normally do much for me but she looks good in this one), and lots of face eating. and it's the scary, fast zombies, not the slow, boring zombies. nick cannon is a douche but it's mindless and entertaining none the less. my one complaint would be that the main kid looks like eli manning and he's basically on-screen 90% of the movie. shteinhead.

in the valley of elah - tommy lee was excellent. a bit depressing of a film but definitely worth watching, even if the end is a bit predictable. although i think it was based on a true story so i guess they were following that.
