true, and i havent read the book, but some stuff in there was clearly fictional and over-dramatic for the sake of making a movie. still, the holbrook character almost makes the movie 10x better. only someone as soulless as rjs wouldnt be moved by it.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

the book is very good, and yes much of the last few years is just put together by photos he took, little entries in his journal, and letters he wrote to other people.  some of it has to be speculation.  even the book has a bit of a pompous, look how against the system i am, there's no way anyone else could do this vibe.  at the end i couldn't really tell if i was amazed by mccandless's courage or he was just a big fargin idiot.

the pompous part was more about penn. the dude is just such a cock. and it shows in the movie.

mccandless is a moron, though. and a freeloader. but its an amazing story.

Indiana Jones 4 Trailer

Can't wait to see it.

I wouldn't mind seeing them continue making Indiana Jones movies in the same way that they've been making James Bonds movies for the last 30 or so years.  This should be the last one that Harrison Ford stars in but keeping the character going could work as long as it's done the right way.

the lookout - very well done crime caper starring a kid from according to my girl some show called third rock which id never heard of...the kid was excellent and the movie was very good...little too perfect of an ending but i liked

7.75/10

gone baby gone -  first hour excellent....last half hour horrendous...i cant express how amateur and tv movie like the twists and turns that ended the movie were...it ruined what could have been a great movie...minus points for taking place in boston as well...

automatic three stars for being written by dennis lehane and featuring beaddie russell and omar. get a grip, igy.

michael clayton- well-acted, well-paced thriller. simply an entertaining, intelligent movie to watch. not really best picture worthy, but clooney was terrific. 3.5/5

crappy movies I recently watched:

Night of the Living Dead (1968 colorized) 2/5 - probably was better 40 years ago but pales in comparison to modern zombie flicks

Hostel 2  - 0/5 - No idea why but I put this on my queue and forgot to take it off, it came so I watched it. Probably would have given it 1 or 2 stars if the two hot chicks got naked at some point. Instead they opted to show the ugly nerdy girl naked getting tortured.

Live Free or DieHard 2.5/5 - only other Diehard movie I've seen in it's entirety aside from the original. It was entertaining which was all that I had hoped for.

Jesus Camp - not really sure it gets a score since its a documentary but it reaffirmed my hate for southern christian extremist. The head of the camp is such a hateful, fat, repulsive bitch that the entire time I was watching it I wanted to slam a crowbar across her face.

As for NotLD, I always liked Stephen King's description of it.  Sure it's low budget, bad acting and all that.  But YOU try to sleep in a dark cabin in the woods after watching it.  Bet you don't sleep a wink.  Never watch anything colorized, either.  That is just plain bullshtein.

And I saw Jesus Camp as well.  I wanted to systematically murder every evangelical I could find after watching that.
Anyone but Reid.
