unforgiven = 9/10

the fact that white people jock shtein like shawshank and ignore masterpieces like unforgiven and angel heart is whats wrong with this country
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Yeah, the brothers are really obsessed with Unforgiven. Can't shut them up about it.

It's no Citizen Kane.

Agreed.  White people totally ignored the movie.  It wasn't highly-acclaimed or watched at all.  Lucky thing JET magazine did a feature on it - otherwise, no one would have noticed it was even made.

with the Cohen brothers being back in the forefront with their new movie, and the talk of Fargo, i figured i should finally watch it.  it was ok, nothing great.  some funny parts.  if it's a true movie, like they claim, then that's pretty cool.

then, i watched Planet Terror, the second flick in the Grindhouse set.  it was awfully awesome.  Rodriguez was trying to make a ridiculously bad movie and he succeeded.   Bad dialogue, gross gore, unrealistic time lines...totally awesome
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

It's not a true story. At all. It's a classic. I want to ear-hump the Coen Brothers. Shut up.

you watched Ocean's Thirteen

Watched. Not 'enjoyed'. How would I know how awesome the Coen Brothers are if I didn't watch awful shtein every now and then?

Ha HA! Take THAT. Sucker.

Saw Live Free or Die Hard last night....It was pretty good. I don't think they developed a lot of the new characters that well. It just kinda hopped right into the story. But the action was great, and there's not many better badass ways to kill a bad guy then the way Willis did.

3.5/5

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Watched Michael Clayton the other night, thought it was very good.  However, I am not nearly as high on it as IGY.  Finished watching We Own the Night, the opening seen with Eva Mendez was bonerific.  Overall very good movie.

Saw The Mist as well.  Definitely can see where MadMarch was coming from.  I had read the book and I knew reviews said it was different, and it was, though I'm not sure whether it was a good different or a bad different.

It's a competently made monster ovie that is pretty depressing.  3/5

From Batman to Terminator!

Ain't It Cool News reports that Christian Bale is set to play John Connor in the upcoming Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins for director McG.
