Yeah, those movies all suck.
Hell, even The Shining was a great movie, although it had little to do with the book. Sure, there are a lot of stinkers out there, but those are usually because of a bad adaptation, not the source material (generally).

im not a huge fan of any of thsoe movies anyway but its no suprise that two of them were from novellas and contained much deviation from the orginal source material by the screenwriter...in other words "based on" a stephen king novella

when a movie is adapted straight from one of his novels its generally unwatchable...shining was good tho

carrie made noise when it came out cause of the blood bucket but the movie isnt good...try to watch that shtein today...you cant its so bad

is misery the one with james caan in the bed?....if it is it sucks

Your taste in movies makes me giggle. Carrie is still good. The mother daughter shtein in there is creepy as shtein. Misery is the one with James Caan and is a classic.

Wrong again. All three I listed were pretty much direct translations of the book to screen. Shawshank was the only one that deviated a little, and that one only in that the film was time-linear, where the book was recollections of Red and not in order.

watched the incredibles last night on tv. pretty good movie.

next animated movie i want to see is ratoutille which i know i spelled incorrectly.

I was actually really surprised by how much I liked The Incredibles. I would happily watch it again and I don't have no stinking kids.

I was surprisingly disappointed by Ratatouille. I thought both "Incredibles" and "Cars" were much better.

Are people seriously knocking "Shawshank"? I can't sit through many boring-ass movies, and Shawshank kept my attention the whole time. Definitely one of the 10-best overall movies ever. Got hosed going against Gump for the Oscar, not that it should matter if it won or not.

Watched "Spider-man 3" last night and want 2 1/2 hours of my life back. As others have, I believe, already stated, the jazz club scene was when you absolutely knew they shouldn't have made the movie, if not before. BAD all around. That said, I want Bryce Dallas Howard to wear that blond wig when I violate her.
