you didnt get it if you didnt see that it was a love story

the whole point of the movie is that molly shannons character cant find a man to love or be loved by and that in general her life is surrounded by friends and family that dont have true love...whether it be her psychotic bro and sister in law who live emotionless loveless lives or her best friend who wants love so much thats shes willing to overlook her mans faults or her boss who life ie empty of love bevcause of his obsession with numbers and his job...

yet in the end after all is said and done she finds happiness a true love in her animal rights crusade

even munson could have seen that the movie was a love story

no i dont think i said that....just this one...look im not saying you have to like it...like i said to rjs its clearly not for everyone...but at least understand what it was about...the entire movie had a love theme going thru it...i mean it punches you in the face...its wasnt like a lot of gay indy movies that have hidden meaning wanna be super intellectual plot lines

You call it "love" but in reality it's a quest for a purpose or meaning to her life.  Either way, it's splitting unnecessary hairs about a crappy and preachy film.  Of course the meaning wasn't "hidden" - it was ridiculously clear.  Glad you enjoyed it, hippie.

Keri Russell's career is making a comeback.  It's a well-made, heartwarming movie.  It's a shame Adrienne Shelly's dead and won't be able to make more movies.  The pretty boy from clueless plays her a-hole, dumbass husband, too... which is kind of amusing.  I was waiting for Donald Faison to show up with braces.

Watched Lions for Lambs two days ago, it was a good movie until the end.  I thought that ruined what had potential to be an outstanding movie.  2.5/5

Eastern Promises, solid nothing spectacular maybe a 3.
