The Eagles will need to score on damn near, if not every, possession to win this game.  Cause the Giants sure as hell will.
I'll be shocked if Eli throws 20+ passes in this game.  Why wouldn't you run Barber and Jones every play?
Anyone but Reid.

Ask Andy Reid.  You can bet your ass he wouldn't run 'em much.  He'd have something to say about sticking to the system, or some stale shtein like that to defend having Eli pass it all day long.

Zero time of possession + a defense that can't ever get off the field = blowout losses.

Zero time of possession + a defense that can't ever get off the field + a shteinload of luck + a defensive touchdown = close wins against zesty teams.

Pathetic.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Because they aren't playing the Cowboys this week.  :P

I don't have to downtalk the Panthers.  They're 6-7 and they're falling apart.

The Panthers are on a downswing.  The Giants are on an upswing.  simple.

So...one win against a team on a downswing and the Giants are suddenly on an upswing?

Buuuut the Eagles beat that same team, and anohter inferrior team...and have a lot less injuries then the Giants...The Giants continue to implode....Tiki has a broken bone in his ball carrying hand....but the Giants are "vastly better" then the Eagles right now.

I don't see it. Sorry.

Go find where I said they were "vastly better".  You can't so don't put words in my mouth.  My point is that this defense hasn't shown that it's ready to stop any half decent offense... which the Giants have.

Also... learn how to look past the scoreboard.  Even though the Giants lost to the Cowboys... their offense looked MUCH improved over what it did during the 1st 3 games of their losing streak.  It also looked right on track against the Panthers as they dominated them at home... with Tiki going over 100 yards on the ground again and Eli throwing 3TD's with no picks.  Matter of fact... Eli didn't throw a pick against the Cowboys either... and he's completed 60% of his passes over those games.  He's in sync with Shockey... he's in sync with Burress... and oh yeah, Tiki is getting it done on the ground.  It's all good though because Ladell farging Betts didn't hurt us that bad, right?

Meanwhile this "bend but don't break" defense as you've coined it just gave up over 400 yards on the ground by a 4-9 team led by 2 backups at their most important positions... and you continue to throw out "hold them to 14-24 points" like it's a forgone conclusion.  The exact point, which you seem to be missing (who knows, maybe on purpose) is that this defense probably WON'T hold them to 14-24 points.  They've shown nothing to say that they will... yet you're basing your whole argument about beating the Giants around it.

Are you asking seriously or sarcastically?

Do you really have to ask?  How dense are you?  The former.

HA!  I meant Barber and Jacobs.  But really, Dio's right.  What difference does it make?
Anyone but Reid.

Sgt PSN

It doesn't because they'll all run for days against this defense anyway.

the defense just plain sucks this year

Right. I don't disagree.

But they've done things the last two games that I havn't seen them do since Lito's Pick 6 against Dallas. They've made plays and forced turnovers.

If they can do that against  the Giants, it greatly improves thier chance of winning the game.

Coming in late, I know, but......let's not forget that Dallas easily drove the length of the field before that game sealing pick.  That was as much luck as anything.  Lito was standing where Bledsoe thought Clark was going to go, and not where Clark went.

Dallas drove the field easily? They had a 4th and 18 before Mike Lewis got his butt whipped and had to interfere with Terry Glenn--that's how they got down to the Eagles 6. They had sacked Bledsoe on the first two downs before a 10 yard pass made it 4th and 18. And it is Jason Witten you're talking about--Trotter bumped him off his route and caused him to go inside instead of outside.

It's gonna take a mistake-free football game on offense from the Eagles for them to win the game.  I'm not saying the Giants are great.  Far from it.  They're a mediocre bunch with a bitch ass sissy for a quarterback but they do have weapons (Tiki scares the shtein out me) and if the Eagles defense doesn't pressure on the sissy, it could be a long afternoon.

I don't know why but I'm going positive this week:

In a thriller. . .

Eagles: 23

Giants: 21

Do you think we could make Eli cry?
I think I'd consider the season a success if we could. Get him booed out of his own stadium or something. Ah, that'd be great.

Feva, I was talking about the fact that you're on teh same boat as IGY, who pimped the giants as some great team.

You're sitting here talking about the Giants offense like it's some sort of juggernaut...thier WR that hurt us most, Toomer, is out....thier offensive line is missing 2 or 3 starters....They've won ONE game, in the laast 5 against a zesty team, JUST LIKE THE EAGLES...so nothing, NOTHING points to this beign some sort of easy victory for the Giants. Not to mention the last time they played us, 2 out of our top 3 CB's were Dexter Wynn and Joselio Hanson... :boom

It'll be a close game.....I think Westbrook will end up having a huge game, 2 or 3 total TD's, and of course get over the 1000 yard mark. LJ Smith had a big game against the Giants last time if I remember correctly, and Garcia seems to like looking his way so....We'll see how it goes. Should be a great game (in terms of score, not in terms of the sloppy play I'm sure we'll see from both teams)
