Garcia and Manning are a push, for this game. In fact Garcia is on a better streak coming in. Running game Giants huge edge, partly due to philosophy and our horrible D. TEs edge NY. Wide-outs Push. Plaxico is a better playmaker than PHI has, but PHI is more balanced in who can make plays. I think this game can be close. We'll find out I guess. I can't believe noone has got on the Gap for his Subway commercial yet. He's sitting at an alternative lifestyle lunch table w/Jared and spewing "More meat!" out of his mouth...

You're sitting here talking about the Giants offense like it's some sort of juggernaut...thier WR that hurt us most, Toomer, is out....thier offensive line is missing 2 or 3 starters....They've won ONE game, in the laast 5 against a zesty team, JUST LIKE THE EAGLES...so nothing, NOTHING points to this beign some sort of easy victory for the Giants. Not to mention the last time they played us, 2 out of our top 3 CB's were Dexter Wynn and Joselio Hanson...

See... that's where you're wrong.  I'm not about pumping up the Giants.  Like I said in my last post... they have a half decent offense.  If that's what you call pimping them... I don't know what to tell you.

I don't fear the Giants offense or defense.  What I do fear is this Eagles defense who's given up 200 yards rushing in 4 out of the last 6 games... and the one that hasn't seriously pressured a QB in weeks.  Like I said from the jump... the Eagles should be able to score on the Giants.  I like how they match up in that sense... and I do have confidence in Garcia to take advantage of the matchups.  Why?  Because he's shown that he's capable of that while he's been there.  The Eagles D has only shown to be capable of being gutted up the middle and gashed on the corners by any team who even considers running the ball.  The defense CAN'T STOP THE RUN TO SAVE ITS LIFE!  The Giants do run the ball... and they do it well... and whether you want to acknowledge it or not... they've played better over the last couple weeks.  Not tripping all over themselves like the Skins and Panthers.

Yet... I'm supposed to sit here and act like that doesn't matter because "they've won 1 game in their last 5"?  Nope.  Sorry.  Does not compute.

the eagles got dominated by a putrid taterskins team it just didnt show on the scoreboard....sunday they will get dominated by a much better giant team and it will show on the scoreboard

The Giants have done exactly nothing in the last 5 weeks to show they are a "much better "team", especially with the amount of injuries that has hit them in the trenches, where they couldn't afford it. I do apoloigze for mixing up your words though, it was another poster who talked about thier vast superiority to the Eagles.

Both teams are 7-6, and the Eagles had the Giants dominated last time, before the Giants realized all they had to do was throw at Hanson and Wynn. They won't have Hanson and Wynn to throw at every play this time. Last time, all the Eagles were talking about was stopping Tiki Barber...I didn't think they would, and they ended up holding him to 57 yards. They're going to try and make Eli Manning beat them again, and I don't think he can with 1. No one with talent starting opposite of Burress, 2. 3 out of the 5 olineman injured or not playing where they should be, and 3. Eli Manning being the biggest Hoyda in the NFL.

And you can talk about running the ball all you want...as long as the defense steps up and makes plays/makes stops when they need to (like they have the last two weeks), then I don't care how many yards they give up. You can talk about how sucky the Panthers and taterskins are all you want, but how sucky they are had nothing to do with Lito jamming MeShawn, and making the big play when it mattered. And the taterskins sucking had nothing to do with JJ calling the right playcall for once and Dawkins making the big sack to keep the taterskins out of the endzone. Big plays and turnovers. Those arer certainly possible against the Giants.

Reid of course, will need to run the ball. Blah.

I think it'll be a score somewhere like the Panthers game....both tehams in the low 20
s-low 30's in score. But I think it's stupid to predict what team will win, because this is a game between two division rival 7-6 teams, fighting for thier playoff lives (and possibly a division crown). Either one could come out on top.
