Walking towards home down Burke Ave from the 2 train this evening, and reading a book as I went, a large cat leaning up against a building told me "you should read the Bible like that." 

"You should mind your own business," I replied.

Now I just have to say, to all you Christians in the world, that you should mind your own business.  Is that too farging much to ask?

I thought you meant a real cat, like a feline, started talking to you about the Bible.  I figured a) you had too many gin & tonics, or b) you actually saw a talking feline and still decided to not heed it's warnings.  Obviously in Option B, God himself was picking you out to do something miraculous, or at least meaningful with your life, and you still rebuked him.  And I figured you stood your ground, thereby reserving yourself a place in Hell when you die.

Then SunMo ruined the whole thing for me by pointing out that the "cat" was actually a guy just spouting off.

I think it's taken to a different extreme with hollyweird though.  Most athletes are able to go out into public without having the paparazzi up their ass taking pictures.  Sure, they'll get autograph seekers and what not but overall I think an athlete is able to live a much more private life than an actor/singer, etc.

its taken to the extreme because their is a huge female/gay audience that obsesses over the glitz and glamour of attractive people that have things that they could only hope and wish for. Therefore, these people want to know every detail of whats going on their lives because they are somewhat jealous. The sports athlete is attainable with skill and hard work, as the "born with a silver spoon in your mouth" hollywood star is not.

also...hollywood is every day/and every night, sports is every season.

mussa's right.  the celeb gossip is insanely blown out of proportion, and most everything in this country is a fargin dramafest.

just look at the croc hunter.  most people didn't even know his full name.. he gets nailed in the heart with a sting ray rod and its omg omg , he was my favorite show to watch.  there's troops dying every day in iraq, but thats not the latest and greatest anymore, so farg it.  whos paris hilton going out with and wheres tom and whats her faces baby at (the chick that looks like she has downs).
