Schefter said that Favre called Arrington personally and tried to convince him to play for the Packers with him.

Arrington probably signed with the Giants a couple of minutes later.

Arrington was on NFL Total Access last night going on and on about how great it was that Brett Farve called him and asked for help (HA!). And that he would tell his kids and his grandkids about it for years to come.

He'll then explain why he didn't play in Green Bay because with the Ole' Gunslinger heaving up interceptions it would have meant he would be on the field far too long, and his pasta-constructed knee couldn't hold up to the punishment.

Hooray for the return of The Brett. Picks for everyone!

Rumor has it the Packers offered him more money. And as said earlier, farg Favre.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I don't understand his thinking at all. What the farg does he think he's gonna' do, win the Superbowl?? He's done, washed up, not to mention stupid for not retiring at least two years ago. He's smearing an otherwise stellar career.

You hear guys like Dan Patrick say "when you love the game so much, it's hard to let it go." Bullshtein. If he loved the game as much as all the talking heads on ESPN say, and if he really cared about the Packers, he'd have retired years ago and let Green Bay move forward with rebuilding. The Packers are dragging an anchor and it's Favre.

Favre still has some good conversations with the other players though.

Rogers: Hey, Brett. We're all gonna go to this bar after practice today. You wanna come?
Favre: This used to be aaaaall orange groves, far as the eye can see.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Dr.Z article

Quote"Brett told me," said one of Favre's NFL buddies last year, "that it just seemed like the team didn't know how to figure out a way to stop the losing. It took the heart out of him. He said there were times he felt like he just didn't care out there."

Imagine if this said;

"Donovan told me," said one of McNabb's NFL buddies last year, "that it just seemed like the team didn't know how to figure out a way to stop the losing. It took the heart out of him. He said there were times he felt like he just didnt care out there."

But hey. Brett is such a gamer and he loves to have fun out there so it's OK, right?

Not good enough.  It would need to make several references to TO and how much that affected McNabb's leadership.
