Thanks for that...good to know there are fans that are realistic and whatnot. I'd be flipping out if I were a Packers fan....and I'd be flipping out on the FO for not CUTTING his ass instead of holding the team hostage like he's doing.

His teammates know he is coming back--never really heard a word form them huh? Interesting. The fans dont know if he is coming back of course, so thats why the animosity towards him. Favre is not really close to Thompson and is a big prankster trying to get in his head. All of his comments about his OL and other positons were geared towards Thompson, so he would get off his ass and make somes FA moves quick. It was all used as leverage, but turned into a media circus instead.

Not that this is news or anything but Brett Favre has been an arrogant prick ever since he flopped for  :=) earning him a record he doesn't deserve. He thinks he is bigger than the Green Bay Packers, he thinks he is bigger than the game - and all because he has the same amount of Super Bowl wins as Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson. Such a shame.

QuotePackers | Madden thinks Favre wants a trade
Wed, 12 Apr 2006 15:34:03 -0700

WBAY.com reports NFL analyst John Madden is the latest to chime in on what he thinks Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre is thinking. He told the NFL Network he thinks Favre is trying to force the Packers to trade him. Madden said he hasn't spoke to Favre, but he's just listening to what the quarterback has been saying. Madden admits Favre has told him and others that he won't play anywhere but for the Packers, but he still thinks Favre would rather play for a team that has a better chance to win the Super Bowl.

Madden's a freak.

Seriously, I've thought about this. There are no teams that are possible superbowl contenders that want Favre to start.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I could see the Skins or Chargers being interested in him.

QuotePackers | Driver says he would like Favre back; he sees no harm in Favre's decision delay
Thu, 13 Apr 2006 19:21:46 -0700

Bob Wolfley, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver said QB Brett Favre is not hurting the team by not having made up his mind to retire or play another season. Driver said he wants Favre to return to play. "Right now, I am hoping Brett comes back," Driver said. "I am trying not to look at Aaron Rodgers being my quarterback right now."

Wow.  That stings.

That builds team unity like a racial slur.
It doesn't sting or build team unity anymore than when the great and all powerful Favre  said " it's not my job to teach my backup anything"

Driver obviously wants to go undefeated with Favre as his QB.

QuoteFavre has questioned whether the team has been improved significantly and would be better next season.

Since FA is all but dead... I guess Favre's future is pretty much gonna come down to the draft grades the Packers get from the sportswriters across the country.
