actually, he was trying to be the talk of this message board, and you fell into his trap, sucker.

The yearly "will he or won't he" vigil is beyond stale, already.

Personally, I hope he sticks around for some more beatings this year.  If he retires, every network out there will be falling over themselves to sign him as an analyst or studio guy.  At least with him playing we don't have to see and hear him every single week.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I originally thought he'd just ride off into the sunset on his lawn mower.

However, I'm beginning to think he's much too much the media whore to abandon the attention.

He'd suck as an analyst.
Anyone but Reid.

Hey wait, did someone say something about Favre? Preposterous!
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I care about Favre only slightly less than J.R. Reed at this point.

I think most football fans could give a shtein at this point. It has gotten old, and he is just screwing the team that he supposedly loves so much. Tired of even reading the guy's name.

Can someone enlighten me on why everyone here dispises him so much? I just don't get it. I've always liked him. He's been a class guy the whole way through and has never given us any trouble. I'm listening...

Wingspan

the media sucks him off and he's been a fraud for 4 years now. but i dont despise him.

I've never had a problem with him either.  It's annoying as hell with the amount of media attention he gets now simply because his level of play doesn't warrant it anymore imo.  But it's not his fault that Madden and Co have fallen in love with his jizz sack.

He was, at one time, the best QB in the league and is definately one of the best ever.  He's never been, imo, a media whore.  The worst thing you can say about the guy was that he got addicted to some pain killers.  And even though I'll joke about that from time to time, the fact of the matter is that it could happen to anyone.

Yeah, it's kind of annoying watching the media follow him around like a pack of hungry dogs and he's got a t-bone hanging out of his back pocket.  But there's nothing he can do about that.  At least his play over the years has warranted the attention unlike some others who have yet to accomplish anything at the professional level other than making you say "wow" after his one good play of the game.  IE:  Vick.

DH

Vick is the perfect example of a guy who deosnt deserve the attention the media gives him. Favre did and does though, and now that his career is coming to an end, what do people expect ESPN and everyone else to do now? Scroll the info on the bottom line and call it a day? He deserves a send off, regardless of how sick it may make some of you. He will go down as one of the best QB's of all time, and his consecutive game streak will probably never be broken, and is a microcosm of the grit and toughness he constantly displayed throughout his career.

Hate Madden and the media for the constant press, but to hate Favre for it is ridiculous.
