Looks like he wants him for the season, that's why he's been trying to trade the guy.

The man. The myth. The legend.

but through all that, you both are acknowledging that when his is in shape, he is a dominating DT.  i contend that he will come to camp in shape this year and play well.  people on here act like he is the 4th DT and can easily be replaced.

they act like that because hes in a dispute with the untouchables in the front office...so he must suck and be fat or else the gods would have paid him already

sun mo is on point like a needle...simon is a very good to great DT that this team needs and would be much better with than without...and the fact that he is so good at an important position is the reason he hasnt been let go

haters

Wow...Simon is sure in shape...wonder WHY the Eagles didn't pay him?  :o

the eagles had him for 'free' this year...he will play into shape and be very valuable come playoff and superbowl time

that said he looked like the guy from seven who ate himself to death on spaghetti

free in the sense that it wouldnt have affected their salary cap for this year

i mean even if he sucked the money comes off after this year...and why do you care whether they wasted money on a one year player...money that wasnt going to be spent THIS year anyway

Well, what makes you think that's not going to be used? I still believe Westbrook will get his deal, and I still believe Lewis, Hood, Akers will be done. I also am starting to believe...that if TO gets through this season and plays like last year and doesn't farg up with his mouth...he's going to get his money next year.  :paranoid

simon would've been a 1 year rental...and we all know he would have eventually played his way back into shape.  if they wind up spending all that $$$ THIS YEAR, i'll reconsider my opinion.

if westbrook and or lewis get re-upped it will make me feel better about it...but why couldnt you have done them after the season and kept simon

i also am starting to believe...that if TO gets through this season and plays like last year and doesn't farg up with his mouth...he's going to get his money next year

TO is locked up and if his option is picked up it will be in march and thus has no effect on whether they kept simon or not

they could have kept simon and still signed westbrook or lewis this season and the other in the offseason

who cares if they wasted 5 mil this year on simon...if he sucks then they still have all their other tackles everyone is so happy with...and if he is great their defense is helped considerably...its was easily worth the 5 mil

Simon's NEVER Been this fat. EVER. You're being extremely optimistic to honestly believe that.

He lied and said he was in shape. If you think the dude is going to drop 50 lbs this year, you're crazy.

RezRob

No NFL team needs to spend 5mil on a guy who needs to play himself into shape. That's what the offseason and preseason are for. It's his job. Sarcasm?

who cares...if hes a fat sow all year what do you lose

the colts brought him in for a physical and still signed him (long term no less)...because they want to do anything and everything to win a superbowl this year...like the eagles its their time...unlike the eagles they seem to realize it and are trying to do anything and everything possible to win it

igy already posted what i was going to say....the 5 mill means nothing to the eagles unless they use it elsewhere to improve this year's team.  so far, they haven't.

but i'm not going to let it ruin my day...once lamar gordon starts lighting up the vicks tonight, i'll forget all about it.  :yay
